check our record against them in football over the last 12 years chief and then get back to me. And I never talk smack to U*NC when SOMEONE ELSE BEATS THEM which was my point. I talk shit to U*NC regardless of sport because their success is built on systemic institutional cheating. It's unfortunate, but not surprising the distinction eludes you. Good luck the rest of the season with two NC State rejects on your roster.
Um. To be fair. This is a hoops thread
True. And he's right we hardly ever beat U*NC anymore. Hopefully that's going to change as U*NC will not be able to stack the deck as much as they have for the last couple of decades. But, State's record against U*NC is irrelevant in this discussion. The point is that CR talked smack when a team he's not a fan of won a game. period. AS stated I don't talk smack to U*NC when they lose to Duke, Long Beach State or anybody else.

The IU/Butler game Saturday was one of the best college games I've seen in a while. Unforunately, later that evening I took my kids to a Bobcats/Magic game to put a wet blanket on the basketball experience. Funny thing is I'm in line at concessions with my 10 year old and see my daughter on tv jumping up and down followed by the caption of "Winner of Kid-Gilchrist autographed basketball". I told her she should put it on ebay and have some Kentucky hilljack buy it from her, but there is alot to be said about winning soemthing and she wants to keep it even though she doesn't know who he is.

Auggie sure is mighty selective when he picks his talking points for NCState. When it comes to football, he limits his sass to the past 12 years, but when it's hoops, he avails himself of NCState's entire ACC history. Hmmmm...

Indiana beat Detroit this weekend, but more importantly, Hansbrow had 11 pts and 6 boards in 25 minutes, while Tayshun Prince had a meagre 4 pts and 1 rebound in 32 minutes. Hansbrow >>>>>>>> Tayshun....

just to laugh at brm who thought iu was the best team in the country while in reality they're sittin' @ 3rd best in their own meth-addled state

so, here's a hearty guffaw at you bigred(chappedass)man: bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

(and adding salt to the wound, Butler was so ho-hum @ the win: Brad Stevens "What? No biggie; just lil' brother. It's not like we beat Kentucky or somebody")

Cracker please. There is no shame in losing to Butler on a "neutral" court, you know that Butler team that kicked the shit out of UNC a few weeks ago. They are better team than fucking Baylor (in your own house at that, shameful shit right there ) that is for goddamn sure.

And calling Indiana a meth-addled state is good stuff there. Pot, there is a phone call for you. It is kettle telling you to STFU.

Now prepare your cheeks for the asspounding that the Cards will dish out to you in around 12 days.

Hansbrow was mentioned recently as the least watchable NBA player in the league.

took me a minute , I had to remember where I read it. I didn't realize both Hansbrough brothers were on the Pacers - are they trying to recreate Hoosiers?

Indiana's Messy Bench

Count the Pacers among those potential playoff teams in need of said secondary ball handler. D.J. Augustin has been so bad (shooting 26.6 percent) as to open the backup point guard spot for Ben Hansbrough, and Gerald Green has lost the creative mojo he flashed in Jersey last season. The Pacers have shopped Tyler Hansbrough (the league's most unwatchable player) in the past, and both Green and Ian Mahinmi (shooting 41.5 percent after a hot streak) become trade-eligible on Saturday. All carry small salaries that could augment a larger trade, though any monster Danny Granger deal is less likely given Granger's knee issues.

I expected a little more from Hansbrow at this point, but he's far from a bust...

I watched the Pistons play a couple of nights a few weeks ago. Tayshaun looks like he'd rather be anywhere else but on that team

With all the basketball only Catholic schools leaving the Big East, I want to say that it will make that make-shift conferance more competitive in football (the direction the conference wants to go, now they focus on that, focus on making money) but all I see is UConn not having anyone in the conferance to play basketball against!

I had no idea people still actually watched the NBA. Aren't they on strike?

My colleague flew up last week for the Knicks/Nets game. Of course most people in the Nets arena were Knicks fans, including him. I know they have a better arena situation than in NJ, but I don't see how you build a fan base in an area that already has a favorite team? I know the Mets were started to try and capitalize on disenfranchised Dodger and Giants fan, but what void is Brooklyn trying to fill. I guess if they win a title that could see some movement.

Brooklyn has its own unique identity. From a basketball perspective, it made sense to give Brooklyn a team...moreso than it made sense to keep it in Jersey. Also, it made great sense from a business perspective as MSG has 366 events a year. Acts had a hard time performing in the NY market at large venues, as a result. Now, acts that would play at Jones Beach or the NJPAC will actually play in NYC. Lots of money to be made off of that...for both the artist, the Nets ownership group and the city.

Also, as someone who has gone to a few Nets games so far, there is plenty of support for the team regardless of how many NYK fans grab up tickets for the City Championship games.
