my son has turned me on to this guy called the internet historian. He was telling me about a video he made of a guy trapped in Mammoth cave, I watched it and then started watching some other videos.
This one is bananas. These people sound like degenerates - and that is saying something given the crowd I tolerate

if someone says a movie is comically bad, I'm gonna watch it
As I get older I get more excited about Xmas movies - something 25 year old me had no time or desire for.
between Thanksgiving and Xmas I will watch every version of A Christmas Carol (except the muppet version, that's fucked up), and of course Its A Wonderful Life
Who wouldn't want to live in a Bedford Falls during the great depression with rampant untreatable diseases, alcoholism and poverty. They make that era so appealing in the movie.
Or maybe its because I wanna bone Donna Reed

That's me too. I haven't seen the muppet version yet, might have to look for it this year...

I think Michael Caine is in it
FWIW, I do think I'm married to a modern Donna Reed
I think Donna Reed would have a tramp stamp in 2007

I'm not a huge Muppet Christmas Carol fan, but I do find it pretty hilarious for the way Michael Caine played the role so serious and straight like he was in a West End version of A Christmas Carol rather than surrounded by talking stuffed toys.

Michael Caine typically wouldn’t be the first actor in mind to play Ebenezer Scrooge in The Muppet Christmas Carol. However, critics praised Caine for his performance, even despite the overall mixed reviews for the film itself. The legendary actor only agreed to do the Christmas movie under very specific circumstances. Caine refused to “do anything muppety” in The Muppet Christmas Carol for his own reasons. The production accommodated his request.
“When I met Michael Caine to talk about playing Scrooge, one of the first things he said was: ‘I’m going to play this movie like I’m working with the Royal Shakespeare Company,'” Henson recalled Caine saying. “‘I will never wink, I will never do anything Muppety. I am going to play Scrooge as if it is an utterly dramatic role and there are no puppets around me.’ I said: ‘Yes, bang on!’ He was intimidating to start with, but he’s a delight.”

I once stood a step or two in front of Caine in the Louvre. My best friend and I were going down an escalator and heard a voice we both recognized. We turned around and saw Caine. We didn’t say anything. It was obvious he was trying to be incognito, and he had a hot as fire young Asian chick with him.

I decided a long time ago if I ever met someone famous, I'd just treat them as I would anyone else. I know those guys don't want to be bothered when they are trying to do something normal and I get that.
That said, when my wife and I went to Prague , we were watching youtube videos of this guy who ran a tourist channel . By chance we were at a bar and he is there. I see him walking down the hallway and I said, probably a little more excited than I should have "hey, I'm a big fan of your tourist videos!" and the guy was a complete dick to me, told me he was there to have a beer with friends and didn't have time to talk to well wishers.
fucking youtube guys.
actually that's not entirely true - all of that happened but the local we were with worked with him in the past so she went up to him and told him not to be a dick, so he came over , kinda apologized and asked if we would like to get a picture taken, which we did.

Okay Muppet Christmas Carol is fantastic and Beeker flips him off early on in the movie as he is pushing them out the door.

I just finished watching the 3 part series on Alex Murdaugh on HBO Max
there is a lot to take in , its like 3 full season of Dallas.
I don't understand the motive to shoot the son.
The wife I get, she wanted out and he was going to have to do a financial disclosure that meant he was going to jail
but why kill the son?

Dude is fucking crazy. His son is the one who started/exposed all his crooked shit right? In the end the son would turn for a deal on the Beach charge.
