anyone think there is a link between the NC St AD telling everyone that after she hired her coach she was going to spill the beans on Gary Williams and then Gary Williams abrupt retirement announcement shortly after Gottfried was hired?
I never did hear about anything the NC St AD said regarding the big eye opening remarks she was going to go the newspapers about.

she was going to spill the beans on Gary Williams
did she say that? I know she accused Gary of sabotaging the coaching search maybe she was going to explain what she thinks he did.

well no, in not so many words but I would think its reasonable to assume whoever she was going to rant about, it was going to Gary Williams

No link. Dumbass Yow did claim that a "national columnist" would write an article detailing how Williams undermined her coaching search, but no article ever appeared and even if it did, there's nothing anyone could do to Gary for saying that she was a shitty AD to work with.

Wouldn't it be shocking if she made some wild outrageous unbelievable claim like "Gary Williams is a drunk"?

Exactly. It's not like she could break any new ground by saying that Gary is a drunk, likes younger women, or hates her ass.

then that leads me to believe that Williams had an inkling he was going out and decided to burn some bridges on his way.

my guess is Gary's "sabotage" of teh coaching search consisted of a coach asking Gary what it was like to work for Yow and Gary replied "she's a cunt" which as Mexico said was no secret as far as Gary was concerned.

"there is our 2012 PG"
And here's ours. Damn, this guy looks like he's 30 years old, maybe Kanter's older brother...

Davis Follows Tar Heel Dreams
By Matt Morgan
Inside Carolina
Posted May 26, 2011
Luke Davis is coming home. The 6-foot point guard from Raleigh, N.C. confirmed he is transferring from Gardner-Webb to North Carolina. Davis will be a walk-on and have three years of eligibility left after sitting out next season.
“It’s a dream come true for sure,” Davis said. “It hasn’t hit me yet that I’m about to play for Carolina. I just can’t even tell you how excited I am.”
Davis averaged 7.2 points and 4.2 assists in 30 starts as a freshman for the Running Bulldogs. He was also named to the Big South conference All-Freshman team.

Good to see Ole Roy doesn't kowtow to the PC crowd and isn't worried about the backlash from having Mohammed Atta running point.

Is there no way to make the log in duration more than 15 minutes?

Greg Doyel was the "national writer" who was going to write the story for Yow, but that dumbass has been silent since the initial barrage.
I would love for someone to put a bullet in that fucker's head.

From an ESPN Q&A with Dave Telep:
jake (florida)
It seems as if Kentucky will not take home the number 1 class in 2012. I cant see any of the top guys committing there. Do they have a chance of landing muhammad, purvis, or ashley?
Dave Telep
(3:48 PM)
Jake, UK's run at No. 1 recruiting classes was ridiculous. Never seen anything like it; they were too hot to keep it going. In the mix with Purvis, Ashley and Muhammad though doesn't seem like they enter the summer leading for any. They could land Ryan Harrow and that would take them out of the race for Purvis I would assume since Rodney would like to play PG in college.

More:
Brett (Newport Beach)
Could Grant Jerrett and Brandon Ashley share the same front court?
Dave Telep
(3:53 PM)
I'll say this about Arizona's recruiting and potential frontcourt. With Jerrett and the guards they have, adding Ashley would make them a prohibitive favorite to win a national championship. The Wildcats have good relationships with his AAU coaches but Ashley's been pretty vague about his choices so far.
