hedge wrote:I think you're way off on your 8 team playoff predictions. I think Bama would beat MichSt, but doubtfully by 24 pts (but that is the one I most agree with), MissSt would have a good chance of beating Oregon (not saying they would, but in any case I don't see Oregon running them by 27 pts), TCU could easily beat FSU, ditto Baylor over tOSU. In short:
F! Take a seat!
Wrong as usual, Hedge.
Bama easily over MSU..... No way MSU beats Oregon or Baylor beating OSU. The TCU / FSU game would be the closest matchup, but FSU finds a way to win.
Pulling for Bama and the SEC to win another championship, but honestly think Oregon is the best team this year.

8 teams with the 4 major New Years Day bowls being the first round. Top seeds get to choose which location they go.

4 is enough. The best two are most likely in the top 4 and that's what we are looking for.

I'm not saying it's unfair, I just think he'll use it as motivation in a head-to-head against Mariota (who I expect to win).
If Winston doesn't play it that way, then I'm re-evaluating everything I expect out of him in the pros.

it will definitely be motivation
I think Amari Cooper has been killing it though

He definitely has. He's hid a lot of Sims' deficiencies, but I still say Mariota gets the trophy. Dude has like 60 touchdowns, or some shit like that. Plus, he's (seemingly) the Anti-Jameis, setting up a nice first round matchup storyline.

That's one more good thing about the new playoff system, two really good games get played on New Year's day again...

Muschamp has some interesting comments at the Auburn press conference
Says he'd rather be at Auburn as a defensive coordinator than a head coach at a place that doesn't put the money into winning.
I guess he is saying he doesn't want to be coach at some shitty school

It is annoying as fuck to hear all the zone read references whenever Manziel plays. We never ran zone read at A&M. Not once ever, it's dumbass fucking Shanahan,( hmm where did he coach before? rG3?) that wants to do the idiotic zone read stuff.

Why can't Johnny (zone) read?

He's not even got the makeup of a good zone read QB who are big strong and fast (think Cam Newton or Colin Kaepernick). Manziel is a small, shifty, scrambling quarterback. Really just need to run a regular offense.

the Bengals have no loyalty for running backs. Ellis Green, Bernard, Hill - you have a 2 year shelf life there

I haven't wanted to murder Kyle Shanahan so bad since he coached for the Texans.

What about Gio Bernard?
