Hypergamy and polygamy are NOT polar opposites. They can (and in Tate's life, DO) co-exist peacefully. A patriarchal society (that values nuclear families, one-man, one-woman, marriage) would not tolerate Tate. But a feminist society (that sees no value in men beyond being a great looking ATM machine) does.

And as long as he holds on to that $10,000,000 (or much of it) the tight pussies will willingly remain.
