It really was an unfair characterization, but I wasn't going for fair.

Bibi really was a hoot on TV. To hear him tell it, the Jews are the philosophical parents of the United States and Israel the point of our sword.

I support Bibi though. I don't think Israel can survive if the Arabs think they're weak. And if they surrender Judea and Samaria that's exactly what the Arabs will think.

With most men, everything is a battle. If you show them some sign of weakness, they do not react with sympathy or offer support, especially if they see you as an outsider. No, if you're an outsider and they see some sign of weakness in you, they will attack you in mass.

You don't have to be a statesman or a diplomat to experience this. All you have to do is observe the guys who post here. They are forever testing each other, fighting over status, fighting over their rank, and they are merciless in attacking anyone who is not like them and also perceived as weak.

If you don't agree with them they will attack you. The only way to make them stop is to either go away, or punch them in the mouth.

I'm not sure about god, but I do think it's part of human nature.

When I first got here I was asked to show my tits a couple of times. But after interest in that died down, I've been treated ok without punching anyone. Or, if I punched anyone, I wasn't aware of it.

the core group has been together here for more than 10 years. I think the testing and ranking phase has passed.

merciless to dumb opinions and takes, yes but everyone gets a shot to prove their point.

This is why I love KSR...

Re: Why UNC is being OVERHYPED Reply

Honestly,

I would take Jones over any of UNC's PF's
I would take Lamb over any of UNC's SG's
I would take Teague over any of UNC's PG's
I would take Davis over any of UNC's C's
Barnes is their best player. I might take him over Gilchrist. MAYBE.

We are superior at every position. Ask NBA scouts.

More:

"That UK team was heavy on C's and PG's with not much in between. Cousins and Orton were both centers. Patterson played center for UK during his first 2 seasons. Bledsoe and Wall were point guards.

Next year, UK will have:

a top-5 C in all of college basketball
a top-3 PF
a top-5 SF
a top-5 SG
a top-5 PG

a senior who can play 3 positions and is extremely versatile likely coming off the bench.
a backup center.
a shooting PF/C

Probably the most balanced team in the country.

UNC will have:

1 center
1 lanky non-scoring PF
2 6'8 wings
4 SG by committee (several of which will back-up Barnes) none of which have more than 1 distinct skill
1 non-scoring PG"

All of the squabbling that has gone on over the Holy Lands since the beginning of time is summed up perfectly by Tool's "Right in Two":

Angels on the sideline,
puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused.

Don't these talking monkeys know that Eden
has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden.
Silly monkeys,
where there's one you're bound to divide it,
right in two.

Angels on the sideline,
baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason
and this is what they choose?

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey
over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys,
give them thumbs they forge a blade
and where there's one they're bound to divide it,
right in two.

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey
over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys,
give them thumbs they make a club
and beat their brother down.

How they survive so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability
to live tonight in heaven,
conscious of his fleeting time here.

Cutting it all, right in two.
Cutting it all, right in two.
Cutting it all, right in two.
Cutting it all, right in two.

Fight over ground, over earth, over sky.
They fight over life, over blood, over air and light,
over love, over some, over none.
They fight or they die, Over what?
Over writing!

Angels on the sideline again,
Benched along with patience and reason.
Angels on the sideline again,
Wondering where this tug of war will end.

Cutting it all, right in two.
Cutting it all, right in two.
Cutting it all, right in two.
Right in two!
