You'll get NC State and VT in the SEC and you'll like it.

But Northwestern and Iowa State will?

Right. I forgot what a football conference the ACC is.

Damn, for an SEC newbie, it didn't take you long to develop a covetous eye...

NC State and Virginia Tech would be Ok consolation prizes.

Here is my post from the CFB board on this subject:

I could see a UNC and UVa combo in the Big 10. They could go to four, four-team pods with UVa, UNC, Maryland and Rutgers making up the East Coast pod.

I much prefer the Big 10 to the SEC. The Big 10 is a better cultural fit for Carolina. The academic types would bitch about big money sports, but the Big 10 does a lot of innovative things with academics. The university could placate the academic types with the research dollars from the Big 10 initiative and sell the fact that the Big 10 has a stellar academic background, unlike the SEC.

Either way, we will be even more fucked in football, but the Big 10 is a better fit overall, imho.

Also, the same thing can be said for UVa, but they're even bigger pretentious pricks than we are.

Well, I think Talent was right when he said on FB that Dook will be fucked in the end, and that's a good thing for America.

I responded to you there as well, but basically I think that UNC and UVA have brighter futures in academics on their own than a lot of the midwest schools.

For the love of god, please take the NCState ankle-biters off our back. You may get them, but you won't like them. I wonder who their fan base would focus in on in the SEC to whine and bitch about nonstop?

Well, they can start claiming there is a Birmingham-based SEC conspiracy.

This probably will be laughed at, but based on economics, future growth, potential and footprint, the B1G should take a look at the University of North Dakota.

I have no problem with NC St and Va Tech in the SEC. Both would be middle pack in football and basketball.

I agree. I think the league as a whole would gain more in every aspect from associating with the other two programs in those states though.
