Just saw a clip with Dick Cheney discussing torture and his statement was actually "tell me what terrorists acts you want to allow to happen because you don't want to torture, are you interested in protecting your honor or doing your job"
wow

If this works, I think it could lead to some interesting approaches to selling content for profit on the internet

I think Bob Woodward saying he was threatened by a white house staffer is taking on more life than Michelle at the Oscars.
A pretty good summary of the reactions here (with a Right Wing bias)

Well, Woodward is basically off base. I don't really get it. All he had to do was clarify what he meant about the sequestration origin, but he doubled down and called Obama's actions "madness" and that he "moved the goalposts." He went off the rails. Truly, it's all a bit bizarre to me.

why would he be off base by calling Obama's decision to move an aircraft carrier in a regular deployment because of the the thread of sequestration as madness?
Obama is clearly trying to hype the pitfalls of sequestration and should be called on it.

Oh yes, the gamesmanship of his Secretaries and other proxies is out of control. However, Woodward was not that pointed in his "madness" description. It was a broader statement.
Woodie wrote:"So we now have the president going out (saying) 'Because of this piece of paper and this agreement, I can't do what I need to do to protect the country.' That's a kind of madness that I haven't seen in a long time,"
The problem with that statement is that "this piece of paper" is a Constitutionally sound act codified by Congress and signed by the President. To ignore it and go about his business without regard is actually madness.
Sequestration was originated by the Obama Administration. The Hill wrote it up and the Pres signed it. It was designed to be so painful that it would force all parties to come to the table and negotiate a full deal. Obama wanted Sequestration on the books so he didn't have to deal with a debt fight during the campaign and then can get to raising taxes and cutting spending after the election win. The GOP wanted Sequestration because they felt they had Obama on the ropes with the economy and would knock him off the throne at election time and they could go through with spending cuts in the way they wanted it to be done.
The election went the way it did and Obama thought the GOPers would cave and sign off on taxes and cutting entitlements (which is what he has proposed). The GOP is like "pffft, you had your tax increase." BOTH parties knew what Sequestration was and it was not supposed to come to pass. However, dysfunction reigns.
There were no goal posts moved. Everyone knew where Obama stood before the Sequestration language came out the legislature. Everyone knew where GOPers stood before the Sequestration language came out the legislature. Woodward was wrong and he's pushing the narrative forward when ALL OF DC knows the real deal...and always has.

A 50 year old Irish colleague of mine just told me he has tickets to the George Clinton concert at the Neighborhood Theatre a few blocks from that table throwing melee you posted. And with the CIAA tournament in town, I am not sure it's a good idea.

And then she caught a chair out of the air.
However her tall skinny friend just from the quick glance looked like a fun ride.
