I know that this isn't the intent of the discussion, but Covid was great for the popularity of golf. I played more golf during covid than I had in the two years prior. My game was starting to get back to being respectable again. I miss Covid.

outdoor stuff in general exploded.

They had to implement a lottery system in the national parks
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Damn, she still hasn't gotten it back?? What about you, sardis? I lost mines for about a week or so, but it came back pretty quickly. Got rid of a lot of cheap wine and liquor that week...

Our club membership rose 40% during covid.... It was nice not having to fight for tee times.

Thinking of Pele's death, a pretty good documentary is "The Extraordinary Story of the New York Cosmos" where Pele played for a few years in the 70's. Just imagine 70's NYC and that will give you the vibe of this film.

Yeah, our membership is near the maximum allowed (825 iirc) per the bylaws. So, all membership levels have had their initiation fees increased along with all initiation fees now being due upon joining (whereas the club allowed for the initiation fee to be paid for in three separate payments over 2-3 years prior to this).
I proudly took AFAM 040 at Carolina.
