oddly enough I was watching one of those "preppers" shows last night

a bunch of fat guys driving a 1980 Chevy truck they have put $300K into to go out and bury guns and beans in the ground.

I guess it gives their lives meaning.

If things get crazy, I ain't gonna live in a damn hole in the ground. I'm going to Indian Hills and make my claim!

I guess that's what we all try to do to some extent or other, and then we die and realize nothing mattered. Kinda makes me feel better about choosing the 9-5 weekday/nights on the couch watching TV/weekend warrior sell-out path, though...

Although sadly, the weekend warrior part of that equation now involves yoga, yard work and more laying on the couch watching TV...

Damn, now I'm thinking maybe those Ozark preppers are living the dream...

I started thinking that last night watching that mooshiners show.


One dude just rode a motorcyle around the country, buying moonshine, mixing it with apple cider and cinnamon, and selling it to redneck women who wanted to be cultured. Of course he slept out in the woods on a cot he carried behind his motorcycle so maybe I should rethink that.

I have never watched a commercial for my company before last night and they advertised on that damn moonshiners show. I have no idea what would prompt them to advertise in that time slot
