any and all types--to the extent the police and the miltary has is just ludicrous to me. I dont see how constitionally we are letting joe schmo arm himself in anyway he sees fit because his right as a citizen allows him to determine govenment tyranny and form his own little militia to stop it.
People have been thinking that way in regards to assault rifles for 30 years. Has any group taken up arms against the government yet?

I would actually think that does more to prove how absurd anti-gun policies are than to support them - considering he never fired a shot - maybe Feinstein should add Fertilizer and Brake Fluid to the 150 guns she already has on the list

Because of law changes that regulate the sale of large quantities of fertilizer, tragedies like OKC are mitigated. I think they caught an Islamic would-be bomb maker in Colorado (or something like that) because of that regulation.
There has to be an answer that will lead to the same type of mitigation with regard to firearms. I don't claim to know what it is and maybe it's not the outright ban on types of weapons. I'm just of the mind that there is an answer. Doing nothing and expecting things to not be how they are now is insane and I don't like where we are right now.

Went to a gun show today. Bought a new weapon. .40 cal. Got a great price, and bought ammo at a great price, too. Prices for AR and other combat-looking rifles were high. Pistol prices were flat. Was Instachecked, even though Alabama doesn't have a requirement for such. The guy in front of me was turned down. Had a warrant for an unpaid speeding ticket or some such.
Busiest gun show I've ever been at.

And I don't plan to use this for anything other than targets. Used to do some competitively. Would have loved to have trained for the Olympics some years back. Just no time, but winning a medal would be a great goal to get me motivated to spend that kind of time.

I plan on buying a Howa Varmint in .308. Prices for those are flat too, but damn, every goober in country is lining up to pay $1800 for a poorly built AR right now

This goober would much rather spend that kind of money on good drugs than bad guns...

what I need to do is take a crate of .223 ammo down to a gun show and sell it for whatever the going rate is. I bet it has to be at least $700 right now ...even that cheap russian shit I have.

Brass .223 ammo was going for a dollar a round today. The non-brass was less.
