I don't get it..

Like I said....

I took a semi day off from work and decided I would clean out the attic .

Tons of books, glassware, stuffed toys, DVDs/CDs/VHS

all stuff that if I asked my wife what we should do with it, she would undoubtedly say keep it

so I didn't ask. Its all in the dumpster behind the apartment complex.

She'll never miss it.

I'm such a computer nerd too - I threw out 4 motherboards, a laptop and 3 video cards, plus I have at least another 2 of each in the spare closet. That is next on the chopping block

I'm tired of just having shit everywhere in this house, stuff that might be worth $500 in a yard sale if I actually wanted to have a yard sale which I do not. I do have a goodwill pile - shoes, clothes, backpacks, stuff like that.

I mean I have a box of 20+ Dick's last resort beer glasses. Like what the fuck am I really going to do with that?

I went from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apt in 2 years. I threw out or gave away so much shit if I took my time I probably could have made money. I had all my moms shit too. Honestly rented a dumpster when I rehabed it & went from there. I can fit all my shit in a storage locker now for when I need to run again.

My buddy and his wife downsized recently, she had a yard sale to get rid of all the stuff they couldn't take and didn't need. Some of it was kinda high dollar stuff (nice furniture, rugs, etc) and she got rid of most of that. But then she wanted to have another one at cut rate prices for all the stuff that didn't sell the first time. My buddy asked her how much she thought she'd make if she sold it all, she said $300-400. He told her he'd give her $500 if she took it all to the dump...

Basically. I rented a dumpster.

today is part II of the cleanout

we have two spare rooms and a utility room in the basement. By Sunday I will have gone thru all of them getting rid of shit we've had around here for 10-15 years and never touched.

I have a panasonic stereo from the 80's that belonged to my wife's grandmother. She died in 2004. It has an 8-track player. Its gone as soon as I get to it.

I am not a fan of babies. Just stood behind a woman at the grocery store and neither of her twin toddler brats was able to shut up the whole time. Non-stop crying. These people who say they love kids as long as they're other peoples are just being PC. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in my hatred here. In fact if a politician ran on restaurants, movie theaters, museums, etc having mandatory no kid areas/days, I would forego everything else and vote for them.

With your looks and charisma I don't think you're gonna have to worry about kids in your life.

I'm just the opposite, I love hanging around other people's kids, especially the toddlers because once they start that screaming and tantrum throwing, I can just leave.

We walk our dogs weather permitting, there is a girl a few houses down, maybe 5 years old, and she looks for us, runs out to pet the dogs. I look forward to seeing how excited she is to see us (well the dogs).
