I think Pat White is a liar. He was a 3-star, and wasn't the style of qb we wanted. The thought that a booster or bag man would offer a QB we weren't really hot on a corvette is silly. Further, even though he wanted to stay in state, he went to WVa?
Henry comes from a middle class family, and he is on a full scholarship. The thought that his family couldn't get a new Dodge for him with a 72 month loan is silly. And if he takes a Federal Student Loan, he could pay for it himself. And Henry has been on campus for 2 years - but now a booster gives him a car? It's not like he's even been the premiere back...

I was fixin to say, look at the houses and cars in the background. If that is parked in front of his house, it's not suspicious at all that his fambly could afford that car. The garish color is an eyesore, yes, but that's a different issue...

Pat White, as a 3-star hs QB never took an official visit to Bama, but when the asst coach under Shula talked to him, he told him that he would be moved from QB to another position at Bama?
And Shula or whomever offered him a vette? Yeah, White has taken too many hits to the head in the CFL.

I was a two - star lineman. Tennessee offered me my own jet and a cool billion. I turned 'em down, though.

If by 'jet' you meant a Moon Pie and by 'a cool billion' you meant a Royal Crown cola....meh, both parties fared well in that exchange.

Wes Welker hit it big at the Kentucky Derby and won $57K.
On the way out he was passing out $100 dollar bills to strangers and gave away several thousand dollars.
Turns out now that Churchill Downs overpaid Welker by $14K (how does that happen?) and they want it back.
btw, I love that look - straight up 60's Miami

There's almost no way in hell Id be inclined to pay back a racetrack coming back to give them thousands of dollars back unless it was the very simplest of fucking wagers. Fuck you, I can't calculate the complicated ass odds anyway, why should I believe you're correct now as opposed to when you paid me some magical number you pulled out of a machine in the first place?

I guess that's why they went public with it - the hit to their competence is worth the public shame they think it will bring Welker if he doesn't give the money back
because if they just made a phone call to him, he would have told them to fuck off

The only public shame Welker will have is if he pays it back...

I don't even see how that happens. Isn't there some review before a lawsuit can be put into process?
