Drove down today. Snow on the ground from Cincy into South Carolina. Yesterday would have been a bitch.

Finally a farmer with a tractor came and cleared our road this afternoon. Just made it back. Being stranded in a mountain cabin in a snowstorm is romanticized in your head, but it felt like weeks instead of days.

That's too bad. I was hoping we'd have a "I wish you were snowed in with no supplies and no means of escape" in real time...

Oldest living person is not a title that people tend to hold onto for very long...

In September of 1985 (first season of The Golden Girls) the youngest one was Rue McClanahan and she was 51 at the time of the show. They made her up to look like she was 60 because 51 is a bit young to be a widow retired to Miami.
