Do they have footage anywhere of the match where both sides are trying to lose? I think that would be fun to watch.

Funny take on the badminton scandal.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/olympics-- ... -else.html

I can't explain why this story has me riveted more than anything else about the olympics.

Speaking of the inherent comedy contained in this scandal...

http://espn.go.com/olympics/summer/2012 ... ng-scandal

I loved this:
Defending Olympic champion Yu Yang of China went further by apparently announcing her retirement from badminton.

"This is my last game," read a posting on a verified account for Yu on the Tencent microblogging service. "Farewell Badminton World Federation. Farewell my dear badminton."

I don't think the Olympic organizers and NBC could have hand picked better tennis finals matchups. I'll actually have to root against Maria for once.

kinda torn about the double amputee with blade attachments

the technolgy gives him an advantage, but damn....... to go through that and work your way up to the point where you're in the starting blocks for a 200 Olympic heat is just spectacular to me

Yeah, I hit that up in Carolina. I'm not torn at all. I don't think it should be allowed.

Soon, technology will fully catch up and it will be obvious how much of a wrong decision this one is. Steve Austin could never run in the Olympics...even if Oscar Goldman allowed him to.

Born with fibular hemimelia (congenital absence of the fibula) in both legs. When he was 11 months old, his legs were amputated halfway between his knees and ankles.
apparently dude took a run at Rugby first & suffered a major knee injury, so then he took up running

you'd think a major knee injury would be disheartening for a dude with no legs

I dont know, I just spectate every 4 years... but it's very inspiring
