Jets release Sanchez and sign Vick. That might be interesting

Manziel excelled in every type of throw he tried. He played from under center to show the footwork he thought the 30 teams in attendance wanted to see. He completed all but three passes, though only one was a bad throw on his part. And he threw a deep touchdown pass to very talented former Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans that ended the workout.
"BOOM!" Manziel shouted, before running downfield to catch Evans and leap into a hip bump.
The team personnel in attendance were nearly unanimous in their praise. Nearly. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer, who will meet with Manziel individually, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram the workout was "different" and called it a "sideshow."
-------------------
I'm a Manziel fan so I guess I don't understand Zimmer - I'm guessing Minnesota isn't going to have a very flashy offense.

I wonder if some of the sideshow or spectacle comments are related to the music, but that's a setup that already exists, they just turned the music on. A&M runs every practice with music blaring and even has speakers down on the field at Kyle Field to play music during pre-game warmups. During spring A&M also invites recruits to one of its spring scrimmages that is played with a DJ playing music.

Probably talking about the media.

The scrutiny on a pro-day is a bit nuts.

i truly hope the Texans don't fuck up and take a QB above his rankings with the first pick of the draft. Take Khalil Mack.

They'll take the position need pick, instead of the newsy pick...just like they chose Williams over Bush.

They desperately need both a OLB and a QB.

I wonder if 3 sacks would be the lowest sack total ever for any defensive player taken #1 overall in the previous season.

I believe that this does happen, but that article actually gives me a "this is fake" tingle.

Probably the same tingle you get when a chick with an Adams apple asks you to buy her/it a drink.

That NYT piece about the Winston case makes me question my original thoughts about the kid...
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014 ... .html?_r=0
It still may be that the whole thing functioned in a gray area of a girl too drunk to remember all she consented to and a guy not reading the cues on what's acceptable from a wasted chick...but the story about shit happening with someone else? That makes me a little unsure about how I originally viewed things.

I haven't read it but I heard yesterday that alot of people are changing their mind about him because of it.

It reinforces my already held racist opinions about him...
On a more serious note, it also reinforces my belief that the police are motherfuckers and never to be trusted.

Funny enough, that reinforced my already held suspicions of your racist opinions.
Yes on the police. They can make or break you on their whim, regardless of your guilt or innocence.

As an example...
http://www.theatlantic.com/national/arc ... ay/360615/
(well done article that is not quite indicting of police, but showcases a lot of the struggles from a racial perspective...the thing is, those who should read it probably won't because it deals with race)
