I think Carter sees an opportunity for someone to finally take the title of "Worst President Ever" away from him. You can't blame him for trying everything he can think of.

Hack, you and puter should look into Sling Box if you do much traveling and would like to watch your own TV. Cletus turned me on to it. I wish I had heard of it years ago.

Carter won't lose that title anytime soon. Carter had both a horrible economy AND a keystone cops foreign policy (the Iranian hostages, Desert One, etc.). Obama has the horrible economy, but his foreign policy has been solid.
Another difference: Carter was not reelected.
Maybe Obama will claim the WPE title after his second term.

Obama has to get past Bush 2 before he can contend for the title.

By any objective standard, Obama has been much worse than Dubya. Much worse. It's not even close.
In fact, just about the only things Obama can point to as positives have been continuations of Bush policies.
I was never a huge fan of Bush, but you can't deny that under his tenure, the U.S. saw the longest period of sustained economic growth in it's history -- 52 consecutive months. The amount of growth during that period was greater than the entire Chinese economy. Most of the bad stuff happened during the last 2 of his 8 years, when dems had control of both houses of Congress. Turned out the dems were a harder destructive force to overcome than 9/11. Just imagine how much better Bush could have been if he had controlled spending. But Obama has been so unparalled at adding to the national debt that Bush's offenses in that area pale by comparison.
Only someone blinded by a delirious, irrational hatred of George W. Bush could look at the results Obama has had and think he's somehow been an improvement.

carter wins it hands down
supreme court ruling on thursday on obama care
yesterdays ruling on immigration favored both sides --they still can investigate your immigration status when you are arrested ie DUI but not on routine stops
predicet a 5-4 vote striking down the individual mandate but upholding most other aspects of obamacare

Worst. President. Ever.
http://harpers.org/archive/2008/04/hbc-90002804
Yes, History News Network's poll of 109 historians found that 61 percent rank Bush as "worst ever" among U.S. presidents. Bush's key competition comes from Buchanan, apparently, and a further 2 percent of the sample puts Bush right behind Buchanan as runner-up for"worst ever." 96 percent of respondents place the Bush presidency in the bottom tier of American presidencies. And was his presidency (it's a wishful to think of his presidency in the past tense, as there are several months to go) a success or failure? On that score the numbers are still more resounding: 98 percent label it a "failure."

The fact that Hack truly believes himself to be capable of objectivity of any standard is pure comedy....

All of these polls echo the same thing...Bush was handed peace and prosperity, and over 8 years turned peace and prosperity into wars of occupation and financial calamity. He ignored the warning signs that led to America's worst terrorist attack, and he botched the response to the biggest natural disaster that occured on his watch.
I could note that while ALL of that was going on he cemented his stature as the all-time Vacationer-in-Chief...but that would be piling on.

...and in two personality trait categories, imagination (6th) and intelligence (8th).
With what evidence is this substantiated? No one has seen his transcripts, never ran a business, and can't carry on a logical conversation w/o prompters.
mentioning his knowledge of the 57 states would be piling on...

handed peace and prosperity
Even though 9/11 was 99% complete when he took office, he didn't whine about it being Clinton's fault for 3 years either...and of course, slick willie did absolutly nothing about the building snowball that was Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

52 months of continuous economic growth > 52 polls based largely on subjective criteria.
Any poll that lists Obama as the 15th best POTUS in history is laughable.
And I was never a big fan of Bush. But I didn't hate him with every fiber of my being, so naturally you guys think I was a big fan.

C'mon Hack. The only two reasons you don't like Obama are that he's a Dem and that he's black.
