Wifescore calculator App

This app is a "predictor" to determine whether or not you are likely to get divorced by your wife BEFORE you marry her. Its supposed to bless out the monsters that would go hire DookSucks when they are no longer happy.

You can download Wife Score from the Apple store I believe. It goes through a very serious If-Then-Else-IfAndOnlyIf search tree to calculate if a girl is wife material or not. And it does this based on religion and geography. Basically, only 1% of single females nowadays would "pass" the Wife Score app.

As scary as the A.I. possibilities are, I doubt there’s truly any “slowing down”. When the US developed the atomic bomb, Japan and Germany were on their heels. And we know they would’ve brought the United States to its knees if they’d won the race. But as destructive as nukes have been since 1945, after Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we’ve miraculously avoided nuclear annihilation. As irrational as human beings are, even the madmen have somehow realized pushing the button is the end of human civilization. Now that we’re on the verge of creating intelligence superior to mankind, I doubt any “fail safes” can stop total destruction. I hope I’m wrong.

The real question is when the oligarchs no longer need us workers b/c AI is doing everything, are they going to just slaughter us or keep some of us around in case the AI goes down and they need to bring us back as servants.

If you are to believe Michael Burry, he is saying all this AI is going to kill us is a smoke screen ahead of IPOs because AI is vastly behind where its been promised to be. Something like 8% of companies say they have been able to achieve ROI for their AI investment while the vast majority have come to realize AI can't replace competent workers.

ROI now is not important compared to the race to see who can reach the big breakthroughs first. That's why all these massive ass data centers around the world are using up millions of gallons of water a day.

if you guys use Chrome, install an extension called Toggle Javascript.

Anytime you want to read an article that has a paywall, just click on it in your extension pull down menu.

I read about it and didn't believe it would work, but I've gone to 3 sites and its worked on all 3 of them - WSJ, Rolling Stone and Wired

My uncle lives out in the country, he used to have a huge bootleg satellite back in the 80's. I mean this thing was way bigger than a car and would rotate to get a better signal depending on the channel you were trying to watch. Actually, the satellite wasn't bootleg I don't guess, but he had to get some kind of bootleg chip from his local connection a couple times a year that would descramble the signal. I guess this is the internet version of that...

They sure do rotate like that. My buddy had one in the late 80s & early 90s. You could move it around until you found what you wanted from around the world. We usually stayed on the Norwegian porn channel.

my sister bought a house around 1988 and when she moved in it had a satellite and the previous owners left all the equipment. I spent the summer with her before going to school

I wanted to watch TV with it so I ended up spending some money on it and getting it to work, we could get the Playboy channel and some other porn channel , whatever comedy central was back then, and then the feeds of CNN when they were about to do a live shot and the reporter was just standing around waiting to go live.

That didn't last a month before all the porn channels were scrambled.
