This reminds me of something that happened about 30 years ago in Southern Illinois. A book was written about it called Murder in Little Egypt (Southern Illinois has a few cites named after Egypt).

FitsNews is a two person newspaper site in Columbia SC that seems to have the housekeeper's sons' attorney as a source. They break things before other new outlets concerning Murdaugh. Its probably a pay wall on this, but it will filter out to other news outlets soon.

Basically, housekeeper slips and falls at the Murdaugh house and dies.
Murdaugh recommends an attorney friend to the sons of housekeeper to file wrongful death suit against himself.
Murdaugh also recommends a trustee for the mom's estate.
Murdaugh has judge friend cut corners and not put details of the wrongful death case in case filing including omitting his name as defendant.

Sons told they will get $505,000 which they haven't received yet. Turns out insurance settled for $4.8M. After attorney and trustee fees, somehow $2.8M ends up in a personal account of Alex Murdaugh.

Looks like trouble will extend out to more than just the Murdaugh family....stay tuned.

Yeah. Will Folk is a lunatic, but he isn't stupid.

He claims to have been one of the men with whom Nikki Haley supposedly cheated on her husband with during her time in the state senate...He even took pictures of spots he claimed were spots where they kissed or hooked up...

So I was out on the porch when the neighbor's dog trots onto the scene, takes a quick piss on my mailbox and then jogs across the street into my yard. At this point I don't even care about the mailbox and I was going to see if I could pet him and take a look at his tags to make sure he is who I think he is, kinda like the A-Team. I barely whistle at a low volume and the fucker barks at me and runs away, on my own property. I wasn't really going to get my gun and fire a warning shot at him, but I'll be damned if I didn't hope the stupid mutt gets hit by a car. After a period of mourning I have no doubt my neighbor would get a better dog and we all live happier ever after.
