The Federal Reserve announced lower expectations for the job market and the broader economy, following its meeting Wednesday.
The central bank raised its forecast for the unemployment rate, predicting it will end the year between 8% and its current 8.2%. Just two months ago, the Fed was more optimistic, predicting the jobless rate could fall as low as 7.8%.
"Growth in employment has slowed in recent months, and the unemployment rate remains elevated," the Fed said in an official statement.
That's not surprising, after the government's latest jobs report showed employers added only 69,000 jobs in May, the weakest hiring in a year.
Why does the 9:1 media hate Obammer?

I miss the old 'tick and Rat, who were outraged by the mere appearance of impropriety from the White House.
...I wonder what changed...

Productivity is up, the market is up, CEO pay is at an alltime high, unemployment is high, middle-class wages are stagnant...we're basically in the throes of a Republican economy. In some respects it's like dubya got a third term.
Naturally all won't be well until the hue changes at the top and America is finally restored to real Americans.

Let's see how Mitt deals with being handed 2 wars and a live OBL in the midst of the Great Recession with our near-dead auto industry.
oh wait
He'll get a dead OBL and a live auto industry. With the war situation all but wrapped up...and a simmering recovery.
I says he can handle it!

Sucks that she'll probably lose her radio gig. A lot of good Americans paid the ultimate price just so other good Americans like her can call out the president for what he really is.

After the 2012 election, Mitt will face the rigors of writing a book about his campaign, hitting the speech circuit, accepting a prestigious position at the Heritage Institute, a lifetime appointment as commentator on Fox, and assuming the presidency of BYU. With any luck, he might even become the next official Prophet of the Mormon Church, depending on whether Moroni friends him on facebook.

Stock market up - Give Obammer credit...
Skyrocketing debt - It's Bush's fault.
