I was going to make a Rodney King joke but someone all ready.....beat me.....to it......
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Yes, an excellently long article. A two-year old piece that made a ripple and then got tossed. Seems a card-carrying member of the elite (Codevilla is a Boston U professor, a "fellow," and an editor) went off on a rant against other members of the elite. It was hard to get that little bit of hypocrisy past even the readers of "The American Spectator."

well...obviously not ALL of them, right toe? heh

Just got back last night after a week in Ireland and another week at sea. I didn't watch a lot of news, but Skynews and/or BBC reported the Scott Walker recall vote. I really wished I could have watched Ed Schultz that night. He must have been suicidal.

Skynews and/or BBC also reported the shooting of three Auburn football players. I attended my son's graduation party at that very pool a month ago. Weird.

...from the article,

Truly, after Barack Obama described his opponents' clinging to "God and guns" as a characteristic of inferior Americans, he justified himself by pointing out he had said "what everybody knows is true." Confident "knowledge" that "some of us, the ones who matter," have grasped truths that the common herd cannot, truths that direct us, truths the grasping of which entitles us to discount what the ruled say and to presume what they mean, made our Progressives into a class long before they took power.

Just because you emulate them, doesn't guarantee inclusion, but keep trying.

Tick, if you want to cruise in luxury, I recommend the Queen Mary 2. It's like a 5 star hotel filled with rich old Brits.

An excellent example, toe, of Codevilla's tragi-vision and declension history. "Truly, after Barack Obama described...//...as a characteristic of inferior Americans." Nowhere in oprama's oft-cited quote does it refer to God and guns as "characteristic of inferior Americans." Had he done so, he wouldn't be sitting in the office he holds, or any other for that matter.

But boy - that Woodrow Wilson, he sure had his nose in the air. Yessiree.

From what I know I'm sorely jealous. Hope you had a proper Rickey whilst I was throwing back Buds on Miramar Beach.

I have a simple question regarding the uber political immigration move dear leader announced:

Is it legal? Can the executive ignore laws it doesn't like? Doesn't this discriminate against other illegal aliens (the proper term) due to their age?

Oprama sure seemed to think he couldn't do it as he stated this NUMEROUS times over the last three years. Is this a sign that they are scared to death about November?

homos, latinos, women, birth control users, people who like lower gas prices, people who like low interest rates, people who like the current stock market, people against starting un-necessary wars, people who like dead terrorists, people who like green energy and a cleaner environment

3% here, 4% there, more over there...it does add up
