Yes, an excellently long article. A two-year old piece that made a ripple and then got tossed. Seems a card-carrying member of the elite (Codevilla is a Boston U professor, a "fellow," and an editor) went off on a rant against other members of the elite. It was hard to get that little bit of hypocrisy past even the readers of "The American Spectator."

Just got back last night after a week in Ireland and another week at sea. I didn't watch a lot of news, but Skynews and/or BBC reported the Scott Walker recall vote. I really wished I could have watched Ed Schultz that night. He must have been suicidal.

Nowhere in oprama's oft-cited quote does it refer to God and guns as "characteristic of inferior Americans." Had he done so, he wouldn't be sitting in the office he holds, or any other for that matter.
