Costco is 2 hours away , Sams is an hour away

so yea, that's a challenge but this is retirement, not daily living, they do have a Kroger, Walmart and an IGA, along with two meat markets.

historic town, very good foodie scene, hospital just on the outside of town, housing prices are in line, probably actually cheaper for a comparable city , low crime , lots of positives

also they have a Tudors House of Biscuit or whatever its called

I never ate at one before, it was pretty good for a cheap fast food place

will I retire to West Virginia? probably not, but I'd like to try

I will say I am not a fan of interstate 64 that cuts thru the mountains. A toll road that is too curvy for an interstate.

This. WORD! I am so down with this since I moved to the West Coast. It seems like half the interstates out here have 6% grades which makes driving them, challenging (especially when you are towing something to move someone, somewhere.)

I am convinced, the greatest interstate highway in the history of man: I-95. There is no better. Flat. Wide. Well maintained. High speeds. No curves (except that bullshit curvy piece in Providence Rhode Island.) And lots of 24 hour everything on it.

Since when was Arizona considered West Coast?

Depends on who you talk to rat and how they look at the coasts. The West is very different from the East, huge expanses of land with no one living on it. That is not the demographics of the East Coast so the perception of where the coast begins and ends in the West, that is very different than what you and I would consider for the East.

If you don't consider Arizona, Utah, and Idaho the West Coast, okay. Then for whatever you call our region, the I-17 blows, its horrible. I hate that fucking road. Either way, the I-5 (which is as West as you can get) sucks compared to the I-95. It only has a fraction of the 24 hour stuff the I-95 has, and it is not as flat as the I-95. I don't know much about the I-75 except that stretch on the West Coast of Florida so if you say its great, then fine, its great.

There's a Tudors Biscuit World on Rte 19 going through West Virginia. Always stop there when I drive by. Better than Bojangle's and Hardee's

To kinda bring this full circle, Costco now makes their own biscuits and sells them in the bakery area, and they are big and flaky and incredible.

I guess I have seen them before, I must have because they appear to be popular in West Virginia but you are right, for breakfast they are a step above other places. I was pleasantly surprised.

There was a local mom-n-pop place where I used to live called "All Hail the Biscuit" and unfortunately they didn't last long, I think they tried to push the idea of gourmet biscuits, thats like college educated prostitute - you gotta know what market you are catering to.

Biscuit World knows its audience

I want to go back

all the women were thin, and hot, and no tattoos. And they were submissive. And appreciative. And didn't give you any lip. And you could break their back in bed every night.

When I broke up with my ex-wife I met a girl from Charlotte like a month later. The plan was for me to meet her at her apartment, but I had to take a huge shit on the way down. So I told her I was tired af and she could meet me at the Holiday Inn Express or whatever it was in Concord. Somehow she actually met me at the hotel. We got busy. This was at least 45 minutes after the bathroom was completely decompressed so no issue there. It wasn't my best hump though, and she was fairly annoying. She wanted to spend the night and cuddle or whatever. I was of course racing in to empty my bowels and didn't have much in the room. So I just told her I was worried I left my lights on. Snuck out of there in a minute and was home by 1 am.
