I agree. I have a plasma in the living room, but that's because I bought it brand new from a woman I work with for $100. It's not even close to the LCD in my bedroom.

Have any of you watched the TV series 'Doc Martin'? I got series 1-4 for Christmas and we became hooked--but like a good book, you can't wait to read it all and are disappointed when it is all over. I have been checking on series 5 and it is being shown on PBS in parts of the US--not this part! Amazon has a wait list and some forums say you can get it on Netflix--which I don't have!!! If you can get it --you will become addicted--but need to watch it from the first episode.

Never had a problem with my plasma. BlueRay works great and the gaming is excellent.

  • 1. This is why I don't really drink soda...except on extreme hang over days
    2. Idiotic that PepsiCo would even make their counterclaim...they'll lose more in sales than in settlement
    3. Ew

But it's probably true (Coke has long been considered an outstanding industrial cleaner) and I doubt they'll lose that much in sales. people love 'em some dew!

I know most probably go Grandpa Jones, but I think this version is far superior.

The last time I drank more than just a sampling of real mountain dew was before the VT game in 2010. I puked like a bitch after turning that jar up at 9:30 a.m.

I prefer Grandpa Jones' version.

re acidic soft drinks: I--like thousands of others--have always used Coke to clean battery terminals. It also works great when you're cleaning a light layer of rust off of something.

Had some moon shine just this Christmas. SIL had been given a re-used perrier bottle full of Apple Pie from one of her friends who had gone home to Tenn. for Thanksgiving. That shit is dangerous. I could absolutely not taste any alcohol in it. Tasted just like hot cider or warm apple pie (the "heat" provided by the alcohol burn on the way down was the only indication it was there.) If you didn't know what you were dealing with, it would be very easy to get black out drunk on that stuff.

Also had some Chinese "white wine" as well that my bro had brought back from his trip. Now that shit was fucking disgusting. Might as well have drank paint thinner.

Considering the reputation of Chinese products, it may have been.

one of the soda companies claimed a rodent found in their product was in no way theirs because it would have dissolved
