I was a deb escort twice, first time it was my best childhood friend, second time was also a childhood friend but the main reason she asked me was she knew I'd bring a bunch of blow and e-balls, which I did. Does Detroit still have any abandoned 1930's houses south of the 8 Mile? If they do, you could get a 5 bedroom manor for what? $10K? You'd have to get all the plumbing and electrical re-done for the whole house, I assume every abandoned Detroit home had all the copper pipe ripped out of their walls years ago.

I have never been to Detroit in my life. Not once. I have flown into and out of the airport a few times, but never left the airport. So, I don't count that. I was "protected."

This is what I think of when I think of Detroit.

As a history nerd, there is some cool shit to see in Detroit leftover from when it was the richest city in the US.

Ryan Gosling's movie did a fantastic job illustrating that fact. I think because he is Canadian, and probably lived so close to Detroit growing up, that he found filing all that cool shit to be of interest. Its all overgrown with vegetation now. You can raise and graze cattle in Detroit. LOL. Unfortunately, no one really watched this movie, and the few that did, they didn't like it. I think that is because they couldn't understand it. The acting was intentionally downplayed and simplistic making Christina Hendricks and Saoirse Ronan look like everyday Detroit people who just wanted to follow the law and live.

I think everyone here at the Goat Pen needs to move to Detroit and well, take over.

If I remember correctly some amusement park company was going to acquire several abandoned blocks of the city and set up some kind of overnight, zombie, apocalypse amusement park.
