More bad news for Obammer....

Feds are telling Florida to quit purging its voter lists, insisting the process is kicking off many legitimate voters, but Florida won't stop, reports the Guardian. State officials say the purging, which so far has removed 2,600 names, is necessary to ensure that non-citizens aren't voting.

BTW Hack,

Oprama has submitted budgets. They have been voted down by Senate a gazillion to nothing each time with not even a single Dem voting for it.

Good stuff. Good stuff.

The "redistribution of wealth" to the top is what the Republicans have been successfully doing sing the Reagan years.

Obama reauthorized the Bush tax giveaways that significantly contributed to our economic disaster.

Yes insurance companies have alot of blame, and Robamacare does suck.

Excellent point, we agree on this.

His answer....basically Clancy in debt of honor where a 747 hits the capitol building during state of the union speech.

And oped chimes in with campaign finance reform. Both in response to WWYD if you had all the power.

Way to reach for the stars, think outside the box and providing some specifics.
Puter; how much more basic and clear can you get than to take the corporate and union money out of elections?

What would you do?

Term limits would be the worst possible solution.

Neal Boortz gives his six-month notice

10:30 am June 4, 2012, by jgalloway

After 42 years of poking, scorching and otherwise entertaining the eardrums of metro Atlanta, Neal Boortz is fixin’ to get ready to retire.

The longtime conservative voice of 750AM and 95.5 FM News/Talk WSB on Monday put listeners on notice: A talk show career that stretches back to the days of President Richard Nixon and Gov. Jimmy Carter will end at precisely 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, with either a loud celebration, or a final rant of King Lear proportions.

That’s Inauguration Day, you see.

Neal Boortz, shown here in 2005, is now preparing to give up the microphone. AJC file

“If it’s Barack Obama, then I’m going to disappear into the mountains and come out after he has destroyed this country. If it’s Mitt Romney, we’ll start drinking as the show begins,” Boortz told listeners.

If you could get corp AND union money out of the equation and it was just individual donors with the 2k or whatever the limit is, maybe.

Would PAC's be around in your scenario?

I am a bit leery because money is speech.

And as we continue to become a country of 50%+ who pays no fed income taxes and who collects payments from the feds we will have fewer and fewer people who have skin in the game and who will give a shit about taxes, debt, etc. We become more like Greece. Right now money you hate is an equalizer of sorts to the money that the Feds dole out in search of votes.

People who send their children to Public school aren't Socialists numbnuts. Public school (although socialized) had nothing to DO with what we today, call socialism. Public school (on this continent) was brought about by the Protestant belief in the saving of souls of their children from eternal damnation.

Failure to comply with the mandate would result in a fine of £5. The grammar school clause was intended to prepare students to attend Harvard College, whose mission was to prepare young men for the ministry.

Midway: 70 years ago today....

As the last of America’s Greatest Generation melts away, it saddens me to know that there are just a handful of people left who have any real memory of the US Navy’s most important victory in its entire history. This battle was vital for ALL naval warfare history, as it marked the true end of the battleship as “king of the sea” and the true beginning of the aircraft carrier as the most critical element of naval superiority.

Without aircraft carriers, all of Japan’s island conquests were now isolated and unsupplied. (Without carriers, you can’t deploy airpower over the vast Pacific. Without airpower, enemy surface warships are no longer sitting ducks and are now very deadly. With surface warships, your captured islands are left undefended from offshore bombardment and marine invasion.) In the 1930s and 1940s, everything in the Pacific depended upon airpower and fighter screens.

Had we lost the Battle of Midway (or should I say, if we lost the Enterprise and the Hornet, not just the Yorktown) there would have been NO island hopping, Australia would have fallen to the Japanese (probably), Hawaii would have been threatened by invasion, Alaska would have fell, the Philippines would have remained in Japanese hands, and the Japanese could have made a military move on India! Getting any B-29 bomber with the Atom Bomb in range of Hiroshima or Nagasaki would have been almost impossible, too far to fly without refueling. Bombers HAD to island hop. Theoretically, the sinking of all three American Carriers (had it happened) could have enabled the Japanese to be in a position to threaten an attack on the West Coast of the United States, but the Japanese didn’t have even a fraction of the manpower to stage any real invasion of the State of California.

It was a critical battle. Japan losing all 4 carriers, ended the Empire of Japan. Japan had no real industrial capacity to replace what she had lost. Zeros could be rebuilt, aircraft carriers could not, not in that short of time. After Midway, the US turned the focus of their attention to the Nazis and started African and European invasions to assist the British (and also, the Soviets), while just toying with the Japanese, island by island.
