Nearest Costco to us is 35 miles away. Before we moved it was 10. We cancelled ours because we never go.

as crazy as it sounds, one of the reasons we haven't be able to buy land is because we can't find anything within 40 miles of Costco. I just don't want to be anymore remote than that.

What about those chocolate covered doughnuts?
I don't think they have them. I just finished the last one out of the box today.

From what you've said, it sounds like if you quit going to Costco you'd be able to pay for the land in 10 years with the money you saved....

the last place we looked at was a cattle farm - had a pond, tobacco barn, fenced
my wife went full on green acres
"we could get some chickens, a couple of milk cows and some for meat"
I threw her ass in the car and left there as fast as I could.

You'd make a good farmer. You could keep the tractors running and fix up all the shit that constantly needs fixing on a farm. You wife could handle the animal husbandry...

I love Costco, too. I will go in for $15 worth of AA batteries and leave with 12 lbs of ribeyes, a new desk chair, and 144 cans of baked beans.

"I will go in for $15 worth of AA batteries"
Are you referring to the size of batteries that you are likely to buy, or referring to yourself in the 3rd person, irregardless of battery size?

We have a “BJ’s” but no Costco. There is a Costco at the beach five miles from the condo, but I don’t go down there so I can lug groceries back here.

Cocaine 'ghost boat' washes up in Marshall Islands
Police in the Marshall Islands have found their biggest drug haul ever, in an abandoned boat washed ashore on a small atoll.
It's thought the vessel might have drifted across the Pacific Ocean from Latin America, spending possibly months out at sea.
The 649kg (1,430lb) of cocaine have an estimated street value of $80m (£61m).
