I guess if they did something that wasn't commensurate with something they'd said to the camera earlier, they could look at the camera again and say "I was lying," but that kinda defeats the purpose. Unless the purpose is to show that they're a liar...

what got me hooked on House of Cards was that dog in the street scene, but not what he did, him talking to the audience. I decided I"d watch it after that.

Well, seeing what a big fan you are of that scene in HOC, I'd say the dog should watch his back...

You'd probably love a dog humping your back considering everything in your pathetic life.

I knew HOC was going to be at least marginally interesting when in the first scene of the first show he killed his own injured dog by snapping his neck with his bare hands and then turned and spoke directly to the camera and said "it's more merciful than letting him suffer"...
Several of the pivotal scenes in the first season were lifted from the BBC version (with slight tweaks).

I watched the BBC version at least ten years ago, and I have re-watched all three of the original mini-series since then.

I have never understood that. Are you telling me to jack off (likely) or to jack you off (unlikely)?

Regardless. Hurtful.

I got sucked down into the youtube rabbit hole and found this from the Dean Martin roasts.

I can see where some people think Foster Brooks' act would get old, but in this case, I think he kills it.

When I watch these videos from roasts , you can tell in some cases that they just laugh because its professional courtesy, but in this case I think Brooks had them falling out of their seat. In another video of the night, when Rickles gets up to close it out, he even says, This night sucked except for the drunk guy.
