I guess the irony of the second sentence of #7 is lost on old fart who wrote this shameless, braggadocious hagiography, not to mention the boast about having "moral courage" immediately after saying they don't like "filth" or dirty language on TV. Moral courage should be made of sterner stuff. Like, you know, kneeling during the national anthem. That takes real moral courage, unlike standing or removing your hat like a sheep just b/c that's what your whisky-drunk grandpappy told you to do when you were a kid so you never questioned it (or at least not after he had beaten you with a razor strop for sassing him). I guess moral courage ends where physical discomfort begins for "Old People"...

....and there's a possibility you may never be, but let's hope you will.

If I'm anything like you in 20 years, I hope not. I'd rather be dead than senile.

Man, I was grilling out last night in my flip-flops, I've got this long 2-pronged fork made out of iron that I use for flipping steaks or tenderloins or whatever, I was standing there waiting to flip the meat and so I got the bright idea to flip the fork and catch it by the handle. Bad idea. I didn't flip it hard enough and the tines (which are sharp) were facing towards me on the catch, so I pulled my hand away. Another bad idea. One of the fucking tines went straight into my ankle, goddamn it felt like to the bone. That goddamn fork probably weighs close to a pound. Pulling it out hurt worse than when it went in. My ankle still hurts. I'm probably going to get lockjaw now. Don't worry, though, I'll still be able to type...

I bought some overalls and got them delivered yesterday. I bought them to do some welding in because you know, that's what you do
but I was wearing them around the house with a John Deere t-shirt, old worn out canvas slip ons, and a camofluage truckers hat with a USA patch on it.
My wife was losing her shit with me. She wouldn't go to the store with me unless I changed.

DS Sr used a welding helmet and gloves. That’s it. You didn’t bitch either.
The only reason he wore eye protection was because he burned his eyes welding when he was a kid.

Had to put down another dog this morning. That's 3 in less than a year. This is getting old...

I lost a dog 5 years ago that had been by my side for 14 years. I was tore up for several days. He died in my arms on the way to the vet. I still have a picture of him on my desk at work.
Dogs become part of the family.

Yeah, I know what it's like to lose a dog. It's like a death in the family.
