It was an astute call by a well-respected Big12 official.
There's a new one...

it was a nail biter - glad to see the noles get it together and pull the win out from what appeared to be certain defeat - hopefully that answers the 'untested' question

now we need to see how many nfl elegible guys skip their senior year

Well you have to figure Wilder and Jernigan are gone - Los has a chance to make some real future money by staying next year if Freeman leaves (he should) so he really should stick around.

The real question marks are Benjamin, Greene, and Cam Irving. There's talent behind the WRs but probably not the chemistry with Jameis. Irving might be the biggest loss of all if he decides to go...Jernigan is the best player of the bunch (by far) but staying would be stupid and it's time for NLS to step up and fill that role.

Greene, Erving, and Tre Jackson are returning - excellent news. As expected, James Wilder is hitting the NFL - I love watching him run but Los really took a lot of his carries at the end of the season and injuries impacted the beginning.

Still waiting on Jernigan and Benjamin but they're probably gone.

Fisher. DUMB.

It's hard to believe, but apparently Jimbo didn't plan for his former QB coach, Dameyune Craig who now roams the AU sidelines, potentially stealing his signals. Sure enough, Craig stood next to Ellis Johnson (AU's DC) most of the first half and told him the play we were running. Result: we couldn't move the ball with any regularity or get out of the field position holes that AU's excellent punter was putting us in.

After Kelvin Benjamin notified him of the problem and Jimbo went back to the towel boys to hide the calls, Jameis went 14-18 with 2 TDs. Yards per play increased 76%.

Kevin - yeah I couldnt believe he didnt consider that possibility.

We were sitting in the stands talking about how it seemed like Auburn knew what play we were running.

Alls well that ends well and hopefully Jimbo learned a lesson.

Fantastic time in Vegas and LA - great, great game!!

Very good news on the returning players - would love to get KB and Timmy back - I think KB needs to come back - Timmy is NFL ready.

Timmy just announced he's gone.

I've heard people who talked to KB and his mom (met at a game) who said he was definitely staying, but that was early in the year and he's gotten a lot more notice since then. I don't think he'll improve a ton in college, would probably do him well to move on. It would be nice for him to stay though.

KB is going pro.

So the current scorecard:
Leaving: James Wilder Jr., Timmy Jernigan, Kelvin Benjamin
Staying: Nick O'Leary, Cam Erving, Josue Matias, Rashad Greene
Undeclared: Devonta Freeman

Again, I hate to lose Jernigan and Benjamin but it's the right move for them (Jernigan - nothing left to prove, so happy to have seen him play; Benjamin - 23 years old, can't teach size). Love to watch Wilder play too but he just never fit beautifully into Fisher's schemes especially once Freeman hit his stride. Excited to see how well Karlos Williams improves - if he learns to block well enough and hit his stride a tick earlier, he and Winston could be Top 10 picks next year.

He has incredible top end speed but needs an extra step to get there.

If Freeman stays, our offense next year will (likely) be Jameis Winston + 10 seniors.

Whoa...

Defense could take a step back with the loss of Jernigan, Telvin Smith, Lamarcus Joyner, and the (very underrated) Terrance Brooks. But another year in the Pruitt system will help, should be another fun year.

I'm excited to keep the four we did. Defense will have to get ready in a hurry for Ok State.
