If you read between the lines, he's calling them Uncle Toms.

I think Hairston is in for a rude awakening if he believes UNC isn't a strict and very structured program.

looks like Trevor Lacey is signing with Kansas, which is a bit of a hit for UK. Kansas promised him significant playing time, maybe even a starting position, UK couldn't.

Damn, whats up with every single Maryland recruit jumping off the ship?

Some of them are being cut loose by Turgeon (Gibbs and possibly Breunig). Faust got his release but is extremely likely to stay on board and he's the one that matters. Next year will suck anyway without Jordan Williams so if he's going to bring in better guys the year following (he already chose Allen from 2012 over Gibbs) then more power to him.

Kentucky already has its eye on Faust

If true, bummer. Isn't it better to suck at Maryland than to suck at, say, a Big-12 program or someplace?

I don't think there's much chance at all that Faust is leaving, the uncertainty with him came when it wasn't clear that Ranson would be retained as an assistant. It hasn't been officially announced yet but Ranson is going to be back and that means Faust should be too.

Thats interesting. I wonder if any of our assistants will be staying. I assume Turgeon is taking Walker and Spinelli at least, but I guess either Spinelli or Williamson could opt to stay.

Supposedly Spinelli and Walker are coming, but Walker may be given a different role depending on how the rest of the staff shakes out. Spinelli was a holdup while he was in the mix for the ATM job, but now it appears he and Ranson are on board and we're waiting to see what happens with Dalonte Hill before announcing the staff all at once. I guess Walker could wind up an actual assistant if Hill falls through, as well as one or two others who have been rumored if Hill doesn't come.

I think Walker was initially a non-recruiting "operations" or whatever title, upon being hired at A&M because at the time we had a "former AAU coach/coach we hired to sign DeAndre Jordan" on staff at that time.

Didn't aTm just win a national championship in basketball? How could they let this happen?

One of the things I love about a new recruiting class is that it brings a new crop of guys who have no or little media training to Gainesville, where many people own microphones and recorders. That phenomenon produces magic like Ja'Juan Story's interview with Gator Country's Amy Campbell, in which he explains how doodoo and Katy Perry are integral to his pregame routine:

Q: What’s the most played song on your iPod?

A: Most played…I don’t know, I want to say Katy Perry, "Fireworks." It’s intense.

Q: What’s your favorite pre-game ritual?

A: Well, I take a doodoo. Before every game I doodoo.

Q: That’s your FAVORITE pregame ritual?

A: Well, that’s the only thing I do. That’s one thing I have to do before every game, or I won’t feel energy, and I’ll just feel slow. When I do I just feel light on my feet and everything, and I feel faster, so that’s what I do.

Q: You know I’m going to write this in a story right?

A: Well, I mean, that’s what it is. I doodoo and then listen to Katy Perry.

I can relate - I had one this morning that had me feeling pretty light on my feet too
