From a recent Draft Express interview with Kendall Marshall:

"JT: Looking to the NBA, is there any player you model your game after or think you compare well with stylistically?

Kendall Marshall: You know, it's tough. I feel like I have a really unique game, so it's hard to really model my game or take after anyone. There are players I've enjoyed watching, such as Marcus Williams at UConn, Cliff Hawkins at Kentucky; I love watching Rondo now. If anything, I try to take a lot of ball fakes out of Rondo's game. I feel like he does a great job of ball control even without dribbling, but other than that it's hard to say I model my game after anyone."

Marcus Williams?

It is impressive his reference to college players, as opposed to the easy route of Kobe or D Rose.

Cliff Hawkins was a good player for Kentucky and was an integral part of one of UK's better teams, but he'll mostly be known for Tubby lying about him having asthma to support playing Saul at PG to UK fans.

....refreshing to see that a tarheel player wants to pattern his game after 2 former Kentucky players.

BTW, Kentucky to play Notre Dame in the SEC/Big East Challenge.

You guys been watching The Hatfields and mcCoys on the History Channel? Outstanding show. I knew a girl from Pike Co when I was in school at UK, her last name was Phillips. She was the Great Granddaughter of " Bad Frank Phillips" and Nancy McCoy. Crotch, you're from East Ky, you have any Hatfield or McCoy ancestors?

I'd go see that game, but can't that time of the year. Balls to the wall time of the year at work.

I wish Marshall had been lying about breaking his wrist...

"Crotch, you're from East Ky, you have any Hatfield or McCoy ancestors?"

That's like asking if Methuzalum had any ancestors. I believe Crotch is the source of both bloodlines, much as the chimpanzee is the source of homo sapiens...

I've met several McCoys over the years. Can't say I've ever met a Hatfield

Rondo hated his time at UK and is no fan of the program as far as I can tell.

Rondo hated Tubby Smith. He'd have been a world beater in college with good coaching. I'm happy for him that he's done so well in th NBA.

As opposed to you, who was just a meat beater in college. At least you didn't require any coaching, good or otherwise...

Rondo speaks well of UK, but Tubby basically pushed him to the NBA because he couldn't play the grind it out style Tubby preferred.

That's the style Fifer preferred as well...
