Only if you don't count violence done to oak trees and passed-out LSU fans.In closing, much more violence -recently- has been done in the name of Jesus than in the name of the one true god, Lord Saban (blessed be His name).
I think it is mostly only Catholics that refer to Protestants as "Protestant." As to how Protestants look at themselves, they will often say methodist, baptist, congregational, church of Christ, full Gospell, evangelical, or just Christian (for the non-denominationals such as myself.)sardis wrote:I don't think you can count them as Protestants, but even so, I don't think the Phelps have killed or physically harmed anyone and at least the Jim Jones' killed themselves...
You've got to have SOME kind of umbrella term to describe the tens of thousands of groups that share certain beliefs invented ex nihilo by Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, et al. Even though they disagree with each other on everything else, they do tend to agree about Sola Scriptura, Sola Fidei, congregationalism, etc.I think it is mostly only Catholics that refer to Protestants as "Protestant." Yeah, that "protest" (against Rome) - from which the Protestants get their collective name - has been going on for 400+ years now.
How's that working out?
We're going to be seeing a lot of these feel-good fluff pieces from the 9:1 media in the coming months.bluetick wrote:Emotional Health Index: American's happier than any time since Jan 2008

Okay, that might be a little OVER dramatic even for you.
Like most here, you're practiced ad dumping lame insults in front of a friendly crowd.Toemeesleather wrote:If Marty and Rat had a retarded child together, he/she/it wouldn't say something that stupid.
Go back to sleep, paying attention is too much for you to attempt.sardis wrote:What the hell are you talking about? We dispatch death squads to kill nuns, doctors, judges, opposition leaders, and civilians in general.
