"If Barnes picks up where he left off this March, he should give Ohio State's Jared Sullinger a run for National Player of the Year honors. Barnes' early struggles were well-chronicled, while Sullinger was a beast from Day 1, but a side-by-side examination of their freshman seasons reveals two very different trajectories."

"Barnes' surge is even more impressive when you consider that he was taking on an increasingly larger role in Carolina's offense down the stretch. This second chart compares running five-game averages of the percentage of team shots taken by each player. Sullinger's usage rate stays relatively flat around 25 percent, but Barnes' trends into the 30s:

And we're supposed to be concerned by fucking Vargas, a fake ass 6'8" "power" forward Jones who would rather hang out at the 3 point line than mix it up in the paint (esp. after Zeller and Henson slapped his shit silly in Chapel Hill last year, and now we add McAdoo to slap his stupid ass some more) and a freshman 6'9" beanpole who also thinks he's a 3 point shooter? LMAO. We will beat UK next year by double digits, and probably closer to 20 than 10. Write that shit down, faggots...
"If you thought the Carolina frontcourt was good last season, with Barnes-Henson-Zeller as the 3-4-5, it's only going to get better once 6-foot-8 freshman McAdoo is added to the rotation. He's a highly developed power forward who can play the 4 or 5 spots, and doesn't need much seasoning; DraftExpress' Jonathan Givony has called McAdoo a college version of Tim Duncan, and says that while Barnes is still the bigger NBA prospect at present, "McAdoo is not that far behind him." Both players could go in the top five in 2012."

Apparently this guy having the meltdown about message board crap is a poster on a Miami Hurricanes message board. Kind of reminds me of a few personalities who have passed through this forum at times in the past:

Back to the profit margin discussion...
I suppose dook* could claim the price of each scholarship in their operating costs, but there's still no way in Hell they're losing that much money.
As for Louisville, they are always top 10 in attendance, plus doesn't that new arena have corporate luxury boxes? Carolina and Kentucky are losing out on some serious jack with those things, not to mention you could move the students closer to the court with the fat cats getting all liquored up in their private suites.

is it me or is the graph ignoring a precipitous drop over the last 8 days of Barnes' season which happens to coincide with Barnes taking over unc's offense?

Barne's "surge" coincides with UNC playing in a soft assed ACC. Barnes is a good role player. A D&D'er (Dungeons and Dragons). He's one of those guys that look great when you're up 25 on Coastal Carolina in the first half but the minute you're in a real game where you have to have a big basket against say Kentucky in the NCAA tournament then he chokes up like Sally Field at the Oscars in crunch time.
Barnes, Wad, Brandon Wright... he's in that mold of wasted talent that would have blossomed under the proper tutelage of a real coach and real developer of talent like John Calipari.
If a kid comes to play at Kentucky for Cal then you know immediately that the kid is going to be the real deal and one of the best players in the country. Conversely, if a kid goes to UNC or Duke then you have to sift through a mountain of bullshit to figure out if they're any good and you've got to break them from habitually wanting to flop and play soft, so their learning curve is much steeper at the next level hence more busts.

so I find a guy advertising a nice lawn mower on craigslist - the exact model I've been wanting to buy for $329 brand new and he has it for $100 , its a year old and looks new.
So I call him up and get his address and set a time for me to stop by. The guy lives like 42 miles from my house but I figure its worth it because I'm getting the mower I wanted, so I head out, drive for an hour, track the guy down and then he proceeds to tell me he doesn't have the mower in the picture, he has another mower, a piece of shit MTD brand "that is the really the same mower" except it costs about $189 brand new.
The first question I asked him when I called was "so do you still have the Toro" and his response was yes.
fucker - wasted almost 3 hours of my day and about $20 in gas.
on top of all that my son calls me after I just leave but still about 40 minutes from the house, tells me he cut himself badly and is scared so I tell him to call 911 and I proceed to drive like a bat out of hell trying to get home. He ends up going to the emergency room and getting 9 stitches.
Today is the kind of day that shortens your life by 5 years.

The guy figured eCat was a pussy and that he could take advantage of him. He was right. I'm sure he laughed as eCat walked back to his car, the mockery burning his ears.
"You city-boy... you wantin' a mower? Hell, I'll sell ye' one... Ah hahahahahahhahahah... run boy, run on back home!"
