Another feel-good story. Good to know there's still great kids out there.

Damn, I thought that was going to be a story about some kids introducing their friends to drugs...

I was in the stadium that day. The damn place felt like it was shaking. I have never seen Kenan so electric. Five straight losses to State and two years of pain due to the NCAA fiasco created a lot of pent up energy that was released at that moment. It was amazing.

My best moment at Kenan was the win over legit top 5 Miami on a Saturday night right before Halloween. Everybody was in the Halloween spirit, Canes fans had been whooping it up and talking all grades of shit all over town before the game, and we won on a 42 yard field goal as time expired. Half of the folks in the stadium rushed the field and of course the goal posts came down. I'm not sure what time things finally shut down in Chapel Hill that night, but it had to be close to dawn...

That and the last second snuffing of McLendon on the goal line as time expired to win the game. Especially gratifying was the fact that State fans thought that McLendon had scored on the previous play (it was called a TD), but then it was reversed on review and then we snuffed him on the next play. I really enjoyed watching the State fans' reaction as their bogus victory was snatched from them by the refs (on a correct call) and then we snuffed their stud on the goal line. All of their genetic inferiority and persecution complex at the hands of their UNC overlords, which is grafted on their very DNA at their moment of conception, was crystallized on those two plays. I loved it...

There was no review in the TA game Hedge. The call was overturned by an official that had received a heart transplant at U*NC's hospital. The ACC instituted official review for the next season to prevent such miscarriages of justice in the future. You did legitimately stuff TA on the next play, even causing a fumble.

I'm surprised you haven't dug back further down his fambly tree to find more points of "connection" with UNC, but I'm sure other, more diligent State fans have...

Damn, ACC doesn't even crack the top 20. I figured FSU would be tops for the ACC, but I also thought they'd be in the top 20...

Tennessee had to pay a premium because of the turmoil they've had the past 7 years or so.

Other than tOSU and Louievile, the major 'basketball skools' aren't putting much money into their football programs.

Welp, if there has EVER been a more meaningful, regular season Thursday night, in ALL of BCS football history, I can't remember it. Florida State and Ohio State fans will be glued to the set tonight, flipping back and forth....
