Long story condensed: Chattanooga insurance convention, Read House afterparty, no booze because of a MADD letter, withering afterparty, enraged company exec, Uber-full of cases of spirits delivered late, left next a.m. with pounding head and 4 handles of Bulleit.
Insurance doesn't do prostitutes. I did sit beside a rep in a Dallas hotel lobby while he ordered an escort for himself...seemed the floor show with Suzanne Somers got him all worked up. Gotta say...she still looks good.

The bar areas in high end restaurants are where you pick up high end prostitutes. They're there because they know their clientele frequent those places for business.

What was the thing a few years ago when the representative of one of the automotive companies was so nervous he flubbed the speech on a giveaway prize? I seem to recall it was a truck and I thought it was the Super Bowl, but I can't find it on google...

Proper way to break up a schoolyard fight.... reminds me of the good ole days back when I was teaching 7th grade. Very effective to say the least.

Looks like he might've hurt that kid. If so, I hope he went to prison, which is what he deserves...

I've substantially added fruits and vegetables to my diet in the last few months. I do a cursory wash of them under the faucet but I am concerned about the amount of pesticides that I take in so I've been doing some reading. Every morning for like the past 6 months I have cheerios with cut up strawberries, bananas and blueberries.
One article I read said that the anti-oxidants/oxidants that are supposedly beneficial from these fruits/vegetables - especially the super foods like blueberries is meaningless but one real value is actually the trace amounts of pesticides you put into your body which causes your body to fight them and as a by product other cancer causing elements in your body.
Another article I read this morning talked about the fruit and vegetable dirty dozen - meaning the fruits and vegetables with the highest content of pesticides and of course strawberries are the first one listed. The article went on to say that even buying organic doesn't really mean without pesticides, just specific types of pesticides.
Here's the full list of EWG's "Dirty Dozen" for 2019:
Strawberries
Spinach
Kale
Nectarines
Apples
Grapes
Peaches
Cherries
Pears
Tomatoes
Celery
Potatoes
The "clean" fruits and veggies
Avocados
Sweet corn
Pineapples
Sweet peas (frozen)
Onions
Papayas
Eggplants
Asparagus
Kiwis
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Cantaloupes
Broccoli
Mushrooms
Honeydew
so I'm like, oh shit, I'm just eating cancer balls every morning, so then I read that the Alliance for Food and Farming has a pesticide calculator that tells you how many servings of fruit you can eat and still be below the acceptable limits
here is a link to it
https://www.safefruitsandveggies.com/calculate/#
so I go there and it tells me I can have 635 servings *each day* of strawberries without having ill effect from pesticides.
So after seeing it, I have no idea why I should be worried but there are people out there who think I should be.
