my company is a corporate sponsor at Epcot so employees have a nice air conditioned lounge with snacks and drinks when they visit the park. There is also a section dedicated for viewing fireworks or whatever at the end of the night. no discounts on tickets though.
We've had a few corporate events in Orlando and inevitably they load us all up on buses and take us over to Epcot at some point.

"I got toasted there last year and when going to eat at a Japanese restaurant fell over into the bushes and destroyed some speaker in there and proclaimed I was alright because I was only reenacting the bombing of Hiroshima."
LMAO...

It was only 34 years ago, I parked my car in the parking lot of the now defunct "Wilson World" at 7AM and walked up to a vendor in a box who sold me an "un-stamped-day" on a 4 day park hopper pass, sold back to him by a tourist who did not use all 4 of their Disney days. I paid $17 for that one remaining unstamped spot on that 75% consumed ticket and visited all 3 existing parks in one, 17 hour amusement day. And I did not eat anything in any of the parks.
Those bargain Disney days, they may be gone forever.

goddamn man, I thought my ass was cheap
our first trip to Disney we went to a Disney store which used to be all the rage with parents of young children in Malls and we bought discounted tickets to the park which at the time were still in the $600 or more range.
Wife and I dutifully left in our packed to the gills mini-van, children in tow and oh around Nashville she informs me our tickets are on the counter in the kitchen.
So after having a meltdown in the car for 20 minutes, I regained my composure and then bought tickets for $724 at the park when we arrived the next day.
As a result I was locked into another Disneyworld vacation the following year unless I wanted to eat the cost of 4 day park tickets. I don't think I ever bought park hopper as we planned on staying at one park each day open to close.

My wife and I were married in 1989. That first May after marriage we drove our Mitsubishi Mirage to Kissimmee FL and stayed at the $25 a night Record Motel. Bought a used 4 day pass with two days left and went to all four parks in 2 days. I think it was $45 a ticket for the two days.
Years later, when kids were of age, we did it a bit nicer with staying on complex and doing the Disney breakfast and so on. I’m glad those days are over. Like the comedian says, the best ride at Disney is the bus that takes you back to the hotel.

I now have a granddaughter and the main goal in my life right now is to not get hoodwinked into taking her to Disney. My parents or in-laws would never do that shit for us.

Shit, had my father been alive, annual trips to Disney would still be far cheaper than the financial hell he would have brought upon us: horses. That shit is more expensive than elite junior golf, and given that our club has multiple kids who are D1 quality in the high school and college ranks now, I have heard their fathers talk about how much junior golf can run, even with the sponsorship money that is now allowed for amateurs.

teaching a class just outside Detroit this week, mixed bag of ages.
Part of my presentation is the new norms for remote work and all the Gen Z are arguing with me saying a hoodie and ball cap is perfectly acceptable for video calls with executives at customer accounts.
They were basically "ok boomer"ing me.

after some thought I've decided I'm going to fire them
actually I met with the CEO of our company for the first time in my 25 years here and he told me no way is he going to ever make Gen Z employees come back into the office because they will quit.
I think he's wrong but I value my job more than I do being OK Boomered by inexperienced jackasses.

Pretty sure I could take a kangaroo in self-defense. Basically just need to run a George Foreman defense, pepper with jabs and maybe set up a headshot. Under no circumstances, can you get close because they kick a lot harder than they punch.

That happened in Loris. Loris is an absolute armpit, which is saying something since it’s in the same county (Horry) as Dirty Myrtle and Atlantic Beach, SC….

And that kangaroo isn't even that big. Full grown kangaroos are over 6" tall, that one is about 5" tall and he killed that stocky fucker. A full grown kangaroo would stomp the life out of Tree in seconds...
