Congrats to Tom Brady for passing Dan Marino for the most passing yards in a single season, a record which stood for nearly 3 decades before being broken last week by Drew Brees. Brees also holds the distinction of having 2 of the top 3 passing yard seasons in the history of the NFL and 6 of the top 100 seasons of all-time. Brady can now boast being 3rd all-time, with 4 of the top 100 passing yardage seasons of all-time.

Editor's note: Peyton Manning holds the record, with 11 of the top 100 passing yard seasons in NFL history and is still the only QB in NFL history to have averaged 4,000+ passing yards per season over the length of his career.

Hacksaw wrote:Great future trivia question: Who is the Green Bay Packers franchise record-holder for single-game passing yards and TDs. Brett Favre? Aaron Rodgers? Bart Starr? Don “The Majik Man” Majkowski?

Nope. The backup QB for the Packers got a chance to play yesterday when Aaron Rodgers sat out to rest up for the playoffs. And he was playing against a respected Detroit Lions defense that had the motivation to improve their playoff seeding. The backup came in and looked as good, or better, than the starter. It's funny how playing for a great team can make a guy with some talent look like a better QB than he really is, don't you think?

Not sayin'...just sayin'.
Well Aaron Rodgers was able to mentor him into the player he is now.
