Hopefully, because it is been blowing ash for longer than a week, the pressure would be partially relieved and the impending eruption might not happen. If it does erupt, it is only 40 miles from Mexico City.

If it does blow, I am one of us on this board who is young enough to have a memory of Mount St Helens....

Yes, PoPo has been doing this for years...I've been going to Mex for about 15 years and it does this periodically. I believe ash has closed the airport once since I've been going down there. Lets off steam constantly and no bulges.

For reasons that I foget, the people close to the volcano didn't hear the explosion. The sound was directed up.
