Heading into the Summer (beach) travel season, I decided to get some of my workout back in line that I used to do when I was an actual athlete. So, last night was split squats with only 25 lbs. A measley 25 freaking lbs.

I'm dying today. Literally, my life force is slipping from its corporeal grasp today.

Yoga is for repairing, not building.

Or destroy it. Either way, it's not for the fainthearted...

Indeed. I do love yoga and try to do a little a couple times a week.

Plus, it's 90% practiced by fit women in ass-complimenting pants. Not a bad place to spend 45 minutes to an hour stretching your tendons and engaging your core.

Well, you could just skip the classes, then, and instead go to http://www.girlsinyogapants.com I guess.

Yes, that would be a failure on your part. On another note, for some reason that guy playing piano in the video I posted on the music thread reminded me of you...

As a frequent Vegas vacationer, I thought this LIFE article in 1955 with pictures was interesting. It wonders if this desert town could continue growing...

Ecat - where did you stay and what was the highlight of the trip?

I go 2/3 times a year and am always looking for someplace new to eat/gamble/etc

I was at the Rio. Its a dump. No flat screen TV's, shitty internet, worn carpets. The place is held together with duct tape.

There was no particular moment that stood out. Just that I got to spend a week in Vegas with some friends from work. This time wasn't as fun as a the last time because we had some vaginas in the group and some of the horny guys got all territorial. Married dudes squaring off to see who could fail the fastest at trying to have sex with a woman who was engineer hot (see Duke women). I was over that shit about 10 minutes into the trip.

We ate at a few places but the funnest (not the best tasting) was at Bastista's Hole in the Wall. Free unlimited house wine with the meal. Our group was pretty much shitfaced by the time we finished appetizers. We also ate the open air place on the Paris sidewalk and an Italian place that started with a P ( I can't remember) in the Venetian. To be honest, I'm getting tired of paying high $$$ for food that is good but not remarkable. The Venetian place was by far the best food but all I can say is I'm glad it wasn't my money I was spending.

I did hit some $5 blackjack down on Freemont. I actually think the California Casino down there is pretty cool. I wanted to stop in at the Heart Attack Grill but it was late and there was no way I could eat a monster meal. Freemont Street is my kind of people - trashy, loud, cheap and still living 10 years behind everyone else.
