45 minutes left in the Torts Final I am giving. , their first final of law school.

At the start of the class, they have bribed me by giving me a Simpsons Futurama Crossover Crisis Comic Book. $25.00.

That's to keep you busy reading while they cheat!

I turned in 3 cheaters when I was a law student (at different times). Don't cheat in front of Spacer.

Damn straight. You cheat on an exam that's curved, you're effecting me. I was proud of it and let everybody know that I would do it.

my first job was with a large company that sent us to 2 weeks orientation. During that time they put us thru a number of exercises including converting binary to hex.

We had some guys copy from each other, and unfortunately for them , the guy they copied from didn't know how to do it. All of us presented our work and it became very uncomfortable when 5 of these guys had to explain why they had the same wrong answers as the dumbass. So 6 people out of 16 were fired on the 3rd day of the training.

It did for the cheaters. None were kicked out, but one flunked the class and 2 others had to repeat a year. At Duke that cost them about 35,000 per year.

at the end of every law school exam, we had to sign this pledge on the exam: "I have not cheater nor witnessed any cheating on this exam." It is an horor code violation to witness cheating and to not turn them in. Likewise, they are effecting me. I have no problem with anything someone does to themselves. Effect me and you're going down.

It's actually a good lesson for attorneys. If you witness your boss in an ethics violation and you don't turn him in, you will lose your license (as some very unfortunate young attorneys at a law firm in New Orleans found out a few years ago).

I am not worried about any negative karma coming my way for doing my ethical duty and for protecting my interests.

That reminded me...I wonder if graduates of HBS are still (voluntarily) signing that pledge that states they will "create value responsibly and ethically?"

Something tells me, based on headlines, many aren't...

pure American bad assery....

we made the turn and blasted toward the Mediterranean. 'You might want to pull it back,' Walter suggested. It was then that I noticed I still had the throttles full forward. The plane was flying a mile every 1.6 seconds, well above our Mach 3.2 limit. It was the fastest we would ever fly. I pulled the throttles to idle just south of Sicily, but we still overran the refueling tanker awaiting us over Gibraltar.

anyone here have HD Radio? and if so, is it worth a shit?

I have sirius in my wife's car but since my daily commute is only a few miles, the only time I ever get into radio is the rare long road trip I take.

Last time I went the Bengals were playing and I was trying to listen to the game on WLW and my radio made it unbearable.

So last week I bought a Kenwood receiver and also bought a signal amplifier. I read on the box it was HD ready meaning that if I buy this $50 gadget, I can pick up HD radio signals that supposedly makes AM radio sound like FM and FM radio give you an erection lasting 4 hours.

Before I go thru all that I was wondering if anyone has messed with it.

Never looked into HD radio. Love Sirius/XM though.
