Anchovies > Smoked Oysters > Sardines

King Oscar > Bumble Bee

Possum Brand wasn't Bumble Bee. Possum was bought by Connors and had to be almost immediately shuttered so Connors could buy Bumble Bee.

And it's a bit silly that the gov't would make a company who wanted to acquire a second-rate canned tuna company sell off sardines.

So Possum was a Norwegian company? I do prefer sardines from the nordic climes over ones from warmer waters...

I'm fairly confident that I will die not knowing what a sardine tastes like.

Didn’t know my sister had moved from Asheville and was forced to settle for a cramped crawspace. Hate it for the neice and nephew.

wife and I were grocery shopping Friday night because that's the kind of exciting couple we are and the store had frozen turkeys for .67 a pound so we said what the fuck and bought a turkey for $9.

We're going to cook just like we do at Thanksgiving. We actually bought it because of the meat we'd have afterwards for a few weeks. I pay $7 for a pound of deli sliced turkey. This was a bargain.

I have had a turkey in my freezer for 3 years. Do you think it's still good?

I bought 2 corned beef briskets at Walmark last week the day before St. Patrick's Day. They were $2.50/lb. One for corned beef and cabbage and the other for sandwiches. Of course, we ate every bit of the first one and, like every year, I figured I would buy another so I went back Monday morning, March 18, and every last one of the briskets on the end cap at the front of the store were gone and the only ones they had left were $3.98/lb. Next year, I'm buying 5 of those fuckers when they lower the price to $2.50.

Also, my new favorite thing is the Churro Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I can't get enough of that. You don't have to worry about them going soggy in milk for at least 15 minutes, so in case you have to take a shit during your bowl, they'll still be fresh (mostly) when you come back.

I would cook a 3 year old turkey as long as it never thawed out.

My son is on this keto diet and he is eating me out of house and home on meat. He just eats the sliced deli meat out of the package so I stopped buying the expensive stuff and got 2 pounds of that salty ass armour deli ham that is square. Any meat where they put "water added" on the label is suspect but he ain't getting the good stuff until he goes back to eating normal. Kid is knocking about 3/4 of a pound a day and that's because I bitch at him to save some for the rest of us.

That's another reason we bought the turkey.

Also, he talks all Keto lets you eat this and that, this morning I went downstairs and the shithead had a loaf of bread and a box of lucky charms next to his computer.

I don't think he is on a diet, I think he has a tapeworm

People love to talk about the diets they're on, but then, when you look closer, they eat the same shit as the rest of us.

Make sure you boil the turkey carcass when you're done, there's still a lot of meat on the bone and it makes great soup...

when I was a kid my old man would eat white beans with ham bone (I guess ham hock, I don't know what that is though) and I fucking hated it.

Now I love white beans and reading your post I was like -yeah, turkey carcass and white beans!

20 year old me would be repulsed
