I love the kid but all I could think of while he was sitting there talking about getting a Bentley is he is going to be broke 2 years after he gets out of the NBA.
Brandon Jennings should be required to meet with each kid before they put their name in the draft.
shouldn't these issues have been given more consideration in Lexington
before the University of Kentucky gave Davis the Bentley?

its a bad week for Skip Bayless

if you are wondering why this happened, Rose didn't take kindly to Bayless saying UK would beat the Fab Five and then this came out about Bayless
http://www.thelostogle.com/2012/04/09/s ... st+Ogle%29
and this is coming off a bad September for Skip where he finds out he has to keep hiding another 16 years from Troy Aikman......
It's been 16 long years since ESPN talking head and troll extraordinaire Skip Bayless wrote "Hell-Bent," a book about the Cowboys that contained a completely unsubstantiated claim that Cowboys Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman might have been homosexual. Aikman, who later married Rhonda Worthey and had two children with her before separating this year, has been relatively quiet about Bayless' inflammatory remarks. Until this week, Aikman went on 1310 The Ticket and unloaded. From the Dallas Morning News:
After saying -- rather gratuitously -- "I'm not so sure Skip's not gay," Aikman made it clear that he still bears a grudge.
"When a guy like that comes out and, whether it's intimated or stated, and there's no substance to that claim, and he's doing it purely to gain interest in a book, that's a problem," he said. Aikman then added:
"I will tell you this. I've not seen -- I've not physically seen Skip Bayless since that time. That was in '95. And I still kind of wonder what I might do to him when I do see him."

Skip Bayless is a fool and the fact that ESPN gives him a paycheck indicates it has completely lost its focus on providing quality journalism instead of hyperbole. The dude shouldn't be employed by any self-respecting outlet. Bayless is a narcissistic jerk and a perfect example of why people think sports writers are assholes.
and I agree with Aikman that I'm not so sure Skip's not gay either.

if you go by the talking heads as of this morning
Shabazz to UCLA, Nerlens to UK. The UConn big man is getting a strong push by UK as well
I hate to lose Shabazz but if he isn't going to UK, I'd prefer him disappear on the west coast

shabazz is one i wouldn't mind "losing" to ucla just because of the letter the ncaa sent out on him to his suitors. i know you're too suave and sophisticated to buy in to the "conspiracy theories", but i see that letter as the end of 'bazz's chances to suit up for the cats. if he chooses duke or ucla, the issues outlined in the letter aren't heard of again; if he chooses uk he never suits up and the ncaa will say: "We really don't understand all the outrage....we sent them a letter warning about these potential problems!"

I think Emmert has had a come to Jesus moment regarding all of that stuff, but in this case I think Bazz was going to UCLA from day 1 but realized stringing major programs like Duke and UK along would raise his profile similar to how a kid gets named a McD's All Star after he chooses a school.

Duke=Nike
Kentucky=Nike
The only school's seriously in it were adidas schools UCLA, Kansas, and some ridiculous longshots early in the process (like Texas A&M)

2012 Recruit rankings released.
Shabazz #1, Nerlens #2. McGary goes from #3 to #30.
Why? Maybe because he chose Michigan over Duke?

ESPN likes the ratings...whatever the motivation is of the people who tune it. ESPN simply adopted the Roger Ailes model.

Follow up on the Jalen Rose/Skip Bayless
ESPN brings in Stephen A. Smith to set us straight. What a nightmare. My respect for Jalen Rose goes up.

no ESPN in Canada, but our sports stations do carry PTI & around the horn and I also download the podcasts to listen to when I do cardio at the gym
the biggest douchebag at ESPN is easily Cowherd, without a doubt
