LOL, I just tried to sign in to Google Adsense and it says my account is deactivated because of inactivity. But like they owe me $83, but I guess that just sits there forever more, since I will never get to the $100 threshold where they send me a check. I wonder what address it would even go to.

The Michigan forum there is probably (only) about double what this place is (maybe a bit less than double) with regards to traffic/posts. The Detroit Lions area of the forum is probably double what the Michigan forum is. The denizens of those two main forums don’t really intermingle much.

That said, if you make a Detroit Lions forum, I will post a link there. You’ve already seen a few refugees: wiz, crash, edindetroit. I’m over there some, not as much the last few months. I believe it is slated to go belly up on or around June 1.

Here is the link if you want to see members, posts, threads, whatever: https://www.detroitlionsforum.com/forums/

This, I believe, could be a good thing. It would add members here and help dilute the percentage of IB posts one has to scroll past here.

Also, there is a member there who can’t reset his password. Perhaps an old email here. There he goes by “Hannibal” - I asked him if he was “Hannibal” here but he never replied. It is possible he has me muted. It’s hard to believe but some don’t find me as charming and erudite as you do.

It would be pretty easy to create a temporary home for them with no frills probably. Branding and customization or something like that would be more of a time sink, and something like porting content from there to here is also probably possible but more difficult.

Also, full disclosure: there is a member there who has stated that he is trying to keep the forum open. If he is successful, this may be all for naught.

I’m sure, if given some admin powers, they could/would take care of decorating with lava lamps and bean bags.

If you want this, make it and I will post over there.

This forum can probably handle more traffic that it does, it certainly used to. The problem with this style of content, where we just keep building it over time, is that these budget webhosting services give you isnt really set up for this style of content. For example, the reason posts beyond a certain date in the past dont come up with in searches, is because at one point the database which comprises all of the posts that allows it to immediately and serve all those posts grew too large and Bluehost didnt like it so I deleted it. Now why the database of shit to search is more intensive than like the data of just every single post, I have no idea. Like we, still can go back and see some windbag post by Crow, but his windbag posts were too much for it to search through on the fly for some reason.

One issue I see immediately, is that they have a much more modern forum aesthetic than likely what they started with on worldcrossing. Obviously our development has stayed close to the worldcrossing style of just multiple conversation on a handful of topics, and theirs appears to have many more topics with an intial post and then reactions to that, the way most sports forums are now.

While I can’t speak for everyone, I don’t think anything you mentioned would be a huge issue if you choose to do it.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.
