my grandfather loved sardines in mustard sauce. He ate them and also baited his coon traps with them.

I actually don't mind them but at that price point, I'd rather just have a can of tuna

I buy the more expensive brisling sardines packed in olive oil, usually can find them on sale for around $2, but you can get the cheap ones for like 50 cents a tin at Dollar General or WalMark...

Sardines are also the safest fish to eat due to low if not nonexistent mercury levels...

The mercury is going to drive you insane, if it hasn't already (actually, I like tuna too)...

I said it before but my family's favorite meal now is fresh salmon. We can get about 2lbs of Salmon for $12 and feed 4 of us, roast some brussel sprouts with olive oil instead of mashed potatos and a bagged salad. Total meal is about $19

so yea, mercury is rising

No sardines for me. I'll just stick to potted meat and peanut butter as my poverty diet

I recommend King Oscar brisling sardines (definitely get the brisling) in olive oil. Polar is also a good brand, but sometimes hard to find...

I'm scared to ask but what are possum sardines? Or did you forget to put a comma between possum and sardines?
