I guess if you have confidence the punter can execute that type of kick then it gives you the benefit of the defense not sniffing out the play like they could possibly do with a pass. That's the only reason I could see that even tried.

If you knew the history of the EKU-Morehead rivalry, you would understand why Eastern did it. These two used to be bitter OVC rivals from the early '40s until the late 1980's when Morehead dropped out of the OVC. Last season was the first time they played since then. To put it mildly, these two schools really don't care much for one another.

Leave it to Crotch to recall a bitter rivalry from the early 1940's. Of course, seeing as how he was an undergrad at that time, it's understandable...

The Book of Manning story is worth watching

I liked Peyton getting pissed off as a 3 year old because Cooper horse collared him and he is complaining about it to his dad

they didn't really touch on the NFL from Peyton and Eli , the story ended after Eli finished at Ole Miss.

Saw a movie the other night called "Adore", with Robin Wright and Naomi Watts as lifelong friends who still live near each other in some idyllic setting on the coast of Australia (nice houses on hillsides overlooking the ocean). They each have sons (who are best friends and surfing buddies), but Naomi's husband dies when the kids are about 10 years old. Fast forward 8 years and the boys are now 18. Well, you know what happens next. The kids start fucking the other one's moms and the moms like it. They are all shocked and ashamed at first (well, the moms more than the boys) but then they just decide fuck it (no pun intended), we're enjoying this, let's roll with it. I liked it...

Howie Long has as many progeny in teh NFL as Archie Manning but you never hear about the Longs as "the first family of football".

Quarterbacks are lead singers. Howie is producing keyboardists.
