The spirit of Don Rickles has always held sway in here...

I saw that Kimmel thing when it happened. I didn't know Rickles was Jewish until just a few years ago.

The Sinatra ketchup story is pure Rickles.

That was excellent...and there were no comics in the 50s that were not Jewish.

Janet Jackson has a pre-nup that says she gets $500m if she stays married to her billionaire husband for 5 years.

5 years, 3 months, she files for divorce.

I guess it was worth it to her to wear those hijabs and looks like a walking trash bag for a few years.

By the way a Hijab is the traditional muslim dress. a hajib is court official in the muslim world and najib is just some goat fuckers name. Thanks Google

They re-aired a tribute to Don Rickles last night that they did at the Apollo theater a few years ago. Good stuff...

I can appreciate Don Rickles, but to be honest, I never found his standup that funny. He killed it with my parents generation - and I can respect that he did a clean show and when he went after people it wasn't mean spirited, but I'd watch clips of him back in his prime and I just didn't enjoy it. I guess he was funniest to me on the Dean Martin roasts because that kind of insult humor just fit there, and when people went back after him it was funny because he took it well.

I just never got into the Catskills comedy guys like Milton Berle or Joey Bishop. Of course everyone likes Mel Brooks

Yeah, but he was the icon of that type of humor, which is obviously where the good stuff is today. Just like I don't particularly like Elvis, but he was the great influence that got everything rolling to where it is today. It was very clear that Rickles was absolutely revered by pretty much every comic and comedic talk show host in the business...

Full version of Tombstone, but the dialog is speeded up about 25%. Kinda sounds like the Alvin and the chipmunks...

It's funny that the same dude does Archer's voice and yet, it comes across completely different.

I even like his wife. Normally that character would drive me insane but somehow she pulls it off, and I can definitely relate to the pet loving socially isolated sister-n-law that constantly borrows money and disrupts their daily lives.

That's really...I mean really close to my real life

The wife is the best part. And the husky-voiced oldest daughter.
