There are situations where all of the choices are different degrees of fucked up. That's life. You choose the least evil one - which was the case, in Lot's example, because the men weren't going to choose his daughters, anyway.

you never see god haters or aetheists mass together for destructive purposes

if you're a god hater --you are awknowledging there is a god that you hate. so you and aetheists dont have anything in common

yeah everybodys going to hell according to those guys. northern baptists are much less draconian

FWIW, I thought it meandered as well. The line about God's existence (or non existence) being an objective question similar to two plus two equals four is noteworthy.

I wasn't around at the Inquisition, but some of the recent examples probably have more to do with grabbing power or maintaining dominance over people..under the guise of religion. Lob a few grenades, scream Allah Akkbar, and go back to the apartment and watch porn.

It's all so simple, really. Treat others like you want to be treated. Works for all nations, ethnicities, religions, and several fraternal organizations.
