Alaska was purchased from Russia on March 30, 1867, for $7.2 million ($120 million adjusted for inflation) at approximately two cents per acre

still incredible. and just how big was Russia before they gave up Alaska? Holy crap.

I love Texas. I have said as much to Texans (twice to get in the lady's pants.) Worked both times. They love to hear that shit. :)

Seeing images of sweet little transvestite, harken back to the few times I've been to the midnight showing at Harvard Square. Was always the Friday before Halloween and I had to buy a bag of shit with rice and water pistols. They had actors and actresses perform the whole thing in front of us with all the props so that was cool. One of times, the girl playing Columbia was even self assured and couragous enough to show us the actual nipple of her tit in that monologue scene where you could Columbia's tit through her shirt. That was interesting.

Apparently, Harvard Square in Cambridge was the second best midnight showing of Rocky Horror because they had the second most props. The most props are at a theater near U-C-Berkley. Theirs is tne number one place in the world to see Rocky Horror.

But while headlines have been quick to blame unions for the downfall of the company there’s actually more to the story: While the company was filing for bankruptcy, for the second time, earlier this year, it actually tripled its CEO’s pay, and increased other executives’ compensation by as much as 80 percent.

Don't buy shares of Hostess. Then there would be no money for the CEO. (Keep your eye on the prize.)

If executive compensation was too bloated, then there must be money to be made in the assets. Someone will buy them and a lot of the same employees will be reemployed or others who need jobs will be employed. We will still have twinkies.

He needs to stockpile them. No way a new owner continues that abomination. BRM will need to satisfy his testicular fetish elsewhere.

yeah. even if not true Hostess will just sell the brand, not the plants. Those workers are F'd. Some other snack company is just going to make twinkies and ho-ho's in their own (and probably profitable) plants.

I hear Little Debbie's is struggling. Now is the time for all the other bakerys to get concessions from their union thugs.

Occasionally I'll grab a Hostess fruit pie if I'm standing in line at the store, but I rarely had any other Hostess stuff.

If Little Debbie goes under, I'm gonna be pissed
