I won't bore you with the details of what I do but the combination of cloud computing and AI optimized to run that software is going to put a hurt on a bunch of people in the industry - 5 years is probably too short, but I could see 8 years.

Think about cell phones, the iphone came out in 2007. Consider their usage now and how many industries it disrupted.

It didn't disrupt me, I had a flip phone until a couple years ago...

These dipshits who do web marketing / website building who provide the content for you are using AI to write their web content. It shows, but it's improving from where it was just six months ago. Still, as an attorney, I still can (at least I think so) differentiate between the AI stuff and original content.

sign of the times I guess

went to see that comedian last night.

MC for the show opens by spending 10 minutes explaining to the audience that comedians just tell jokes to be funny, don't get pissed, don't rush the stage, don't shout out in protest, etc

then the headliner goes on a rant for 20 minutes about how everyone under 30 is ruining America because they get offended at everything.

but none of the comedians I saw last night mentioned politics, transgender, race, abortion or religion.

I don't think anyone in the audience wanted to deal with it either. It was actually very enjoyable.

so today we officially start working on that fixer upper I bought.

the first order is to get all the hoarding stuff the previous owner left (she was a 80ish year old woman)

Without taking an inventory,I know I have a garage full of tools, two bedroom suites, a couch, 2 newish lazy boy recliners, a leather chair, 2 wing back chairs, a walnut dining room table and chairs, a freezer, a washer and dryer, a 35mm camera with zoom lense, 2 singer sewing machines, a lawn mower, a grill, a patio set, shit... I can't think of everything they left behind

if it adds value to a future renter, I will leave it, otherwise we're going to have a big ass yard sale and then have a dumpster delivered afterwards.

tonight we start off on the shed which has two bikes, a handful of antique things and a bunch of boxes full of stuff I haven't looked at yet.

the guy living there who was planning on buying it had a very detailed home inspection done - like 150 pages details. Eventually I'm just going to check everything off that list.

The goal is to have the house listed to rent by July 15.

I'll be pretty scarce online
