Willy was a harsh taskmaster, the things he did to them with the jawbreakers. Just terrible

sort of agree with Dez Bryant here:
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutd ... 20761.html
"Hell yeah, I’ll be mad," Bryant said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I will be mad. But I don’t want him to get suspended. I will be mad more at the NCAA on how they do things. I just feel like it’s not fair. This is something I have no problem talking about because I feel like somebody needs to say something to him and let it be known how they treat people is not right."
and
...
"He should be able to sign as many autographs and make as much money as he wants, because it’s his name," Bryant said to the Star-Telegram. "I feel like he’s the one who created it. He should be able to do whatever he feels as long as it’s legal and I don’t think there’s anything illegal about signing a picture of yourself and making money off himself. Shoot, the NCAA is making money off of it when they’re selling those No. 2 shirts. Why can’t he make a little bit of money off of it?"

What if the kid wrote a computer program and sold it for $20M?
what if he wrote a computer program that did college football analysis and sold it for $20m?

Actually, we're checking into this. My son is looking to create a new operating system. Question is, can he patent it as a computer science student in school? Different schools have different rules about that sort of thing.

as a general student? How can the school lay any claim to intellectual property?
now as a paid student working for a prof - thats a different story

That being said, I agree with Dez Bryant. Manziel should be punished much more than Dez. But prospectively, there should be a little more leniency.

The argument is that anything related to school property, or use is there's per the fine print in the school catalog which all students don't realize they've agreed to in attending the university.

anybody interested in joining a fantasy football money league?
draft is tonight (sunday august 18th) at 8:45 pm EST, $50 buy in
AUCTION DRAFT
positions are QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX (RB/WR/TE), K, DEF, BENCH X 6
this is for the Detroit Pistons forum league that used to post on WX, one guy is asking out due to "issues" and were trying to see if we can find a replacement
12 man league
*** please note, this is a buy-in league, so you pay up front via paypal. The positive is if you wont have chase members for the money, it's all in a pot that goes to the winners
1st place gets $250
2nd place gets their money back
if we do not find a replacement by 5pm then the original GM is SOL, he has to stay in
let me know, if you're in you have to be available tomorrow to buy in and be reachable by email to sign in & register to the league

Doubt that... You can see a Colts helmet behind her as she's getting thumped. The guy behind her that the pass was intended for may have deliberately let the ball hit her though.

Texans fan but if Antonio Smith is suspended for a couple regular season games, it's deserved. You rip the helmut off and then swing it in the guy's face.
